    He’s definitely introduced like that, but I like how he eventually warms to Bond and does him an off-the-record favour, something that he normally wouldn’t even consider I suppose.

    He’s one of the few allies with some sort of character arc, together with one of my other favourites who is struggling right now: Mathis.

    This is the first time I’ve checked on this thread. I was shocked a to see Quarrel absent from the list. I would have thought his inclusion was a given, and I would have assumed that he would be the front runner along with Kerim Bey.

    You've got a point there, @Birdleson. But it is the initiator of the poll that does the selection, and there is doubtless a lot more characters that should be considered "Bond allies".

    There are so many missing, there's Hosain from TSWLM, there's Raoul from DAD, there's Nomi from NTTD, and yes, Quarrel (DN), then also Quarrel Jr. From LALD.

    Thursday (this is hard for me, as they're all great, but I have a lot more emotional and deep connection with both Draco and Kerim, sorry, Columbo (RIP to Topol, but I never felt anything for Columbo), he just didn't impacted me on a deep emotional level like Kerim and Draco).

    Columbo deserves to be in Top Three.
