Imagine if Bryan Welsh (the character you play as in the game) played an important part in Afterlife.

    I didn’t know he had a name.

I enjoyed Afterlife very much; it embraced nostalgia without wallowing in it.

For me I’d say it was the ultimate nostalgia wallow; I thought it went way too far down the avenue of ‘remember this? How about this? I bet you’re excited to see this old prop!’ It wore me out.

Reminds me of Empire's Indy cover from last year!

Hopefully, Ghostbusters Frozen Empire won't bomb financially or critically. It does have a interesting premise, for me.

This trailer shows quite a lot, I think I may go to the cinema to watch this.

Having just watched Afterlife finally to catch up, which I really enjoyed, I'm definitely seeing this in the theaters.

As a trailer, it doesn't look like trash, so it's already better than the "third" film.

Just remember as for Bill Murray, remember that he was the main reason that we didn’t get Ghostbusters for a long time. His ego and temper (plus his feud with Harold Ramis) delayed the project for years. I’m happy that he came around for the series though. I like the ice age theme. It feels fresh for the series. It should be a nice birthday present for me. Plus I consider the 2009 video game canon.

I’m not really a fan of this new direction taken since AFTERLIFE, with the Ghostbusters being revered as if they’re mythic superheroes while being dogpiled with memberberries.

I blame the fans for letting this happen. Ghost Egon showing up in AFTERLIFE should have been the moment fans collectively rejected it and called it out as a disgusting display of the studio system desecrating the memory of Harold Ramis, just as they did with the awful 2016 film. Instead, they supposedly ate it up.

This should have never been a franchise, and I say that as someone that grew up watching the cartoon yet has no real nostalgic feelings towards it.

It’s probably *because* you have no real nostalgic feeling towards it.

If it was the studio system doing it, sure, but it seems to largely be something of a family affair for the people producing the film, that keys in nicely for the thirty and forty somethings who do have the nostalgia. It’s not even memberberries, as they managed to (mostly) organically grow the plot for afterlife from the originals, rather than just sticking them on.

Not yet seen Frozen Empire though from the mixed reviews I have heard one thing cropped up, that Frozen Empire does a lot of world building, so this animated series s no surprise I hope it does well.

Regarding Frozen Empire I will keep an open mind, some reviewers that tend to have the tastes I do liked it so there is hope.

I'm trying to go in blind. I haven't had time to go see it yet. I'm pretty excited for it though.
