The Thumper and Bambi scene is pretty funny.
Felix's outfit is almost as hilarious as Bond's.

I used to have quite a few blank cassettes that looked just like Blofeld's here.
I recorded stuff off the television and radio back then.

I like the bright orange boots and helmets Blofeld's henchmen are wearing.

NTTD. The problem with me and this film, well, one of the problems, is that it was spoiled for me before I ever saw it. So I’ve never been able to really relax and enjoy it as it went along because from the very beginning I’ve gone in aware of and pissed off about how it ends.

I’m trying to relax and watch it without that in the back of my mind or at least prominent in my mind. It is a fun and exciting film, and if I can stay in the moment this is a very enjoyable Bond entry (excepting the points where it gets bogged down in the Craig soap opera, but I’ve said enough about my feelings on that other places). I don’t think I can ever feel comfortable with the decision to kill the character, but strategically cut it down about 40 minutes and it probably would have just about hit my Top Ten, with a more ambiguous ending. Of course those things did not occur, but I’m just pointing out how close it came. As is, it hovers between 16 and 19.

More than anything with NTTD I was relieved about Craig having more strong serious moments to work with than SP, and the fact it brought back that exciting, blood-pumping feeling with all the action; every time I watch SP, most of the action (save PTS and train fight) feels so… laborious. The thrills in SP are severely lacking compared to all of the other Craig movies. I can’t wait to start giving NTTD more regular watches on DVD; I’ve found it amazingly rewatchable in theaters already.

With every viewing it becomes more apparent to me that the decision to end it the way they did was just a waste. There were so many other cool things that they could have done, even right there at the end. From the watch, to the weather balloon, to not even setting it up that way, to ambiguity, even Bond sailing off into the sunset with his family, which before this I thought I would’ve hated, but now sounds great in comparison. It just feels cheap.

Snowy out tonight where I live. I'd wished Tracy were doing the driving on my way home.............so I'm watching

    ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE.

Wonder gunbarrel. My favorite pose. Lazenby rules!
Love the Blu-ray, but the PTS still looks a little bluish. Not as bad as the 2006 UE DVD, though.

Love the titles. Easily one of the greatest Bond films ever made. I'm loving every instant and I'm only a few minutes in.

Did George Baker really do the Bond voice over narration for the 1976 infamous ABC re-edit?

I love Bond's inverness cape outfit. Very Sherlock Holmes.
The flight to Piz Gloria has to be one of the most beautiful moments in the series.

A friend of mine used to think that Campbell looked a lot like THE GREATEST AMERICAN HERO, William Katt. Aside from the blond curly hair, I don't see much of a resemblance.

I love the music as Bond is escorted to meet his best buddy and lifetime bro, Blofeld.
    Great stuff!

    Telly Savalas, my favorite Blofeld.

Haha! I should hum that all day at work just to annoy my coworkers.

I imagine a few members on here have probably made the journey to Piz Gloria. I'll bet it's every bit as great as any Bond fan imagines it to be.

Lazenby and Savalas have amazing Bond/Blofeld chemistry.

I love Bond dangling on the cable car wires. What a great scene. The build up and suspense is unsurpassed.
    Lazenby really sells this scene.

This is close to a perfect sequence for me. The cinematography with the sun behind the helicopters, the music, Blofeld and Tracy's banter, her fighting, Bond sliding. It's terrific.
