Patrice executing security guards at reception like he's taking over Nakatomi Plaza.

The beautifully lit and photographed shots of Bond stalking through empty glass offices help Newman's music.

That fight with Patrice is so brilliantly captured. Mendes must have been excited when he was storyboarding it with Deakins.

Great shot of Severine standing with wind blowing through her hair as she first locks eyes with 007.

The skulls in the message from Silva on M's computer remind me of the day of the dead poster in Spectre.

The music when enter the floating casino is perfect...if only they had more of the theme woven in...that goes the same for SP. should just be standard in bond films.

The way the exterior is captured and bathed in gold inside...apologies if this turns into screeds of posts about Deakins' skills.

Bond James Bond. It's a solid delivery.

Severine chat over drinks is good - casino, cocktails, tuxedos, femme fatale so with guns strapped to their thighs and smoking cigarettes - this is classic Bond.

Marlohe delivers a good performance. pity she wasn't given a larger role. Her desperate little intakes of breath that double as laughter between words when she's discussing Silva is a nice character choice.

    "Good luck with that."
Bond in the Komodo pit is classic Roger Moore era bond. Just wish the fight went on a little longer.

I like the idea of Silva stealing an island...keeping in the Bond villain tradition (Dr No, Scaramanga)

Silva trying to convince Bond of M's deception is a good tactic

Old music playing over dilapidated buildings on Silva's island reminds me of playing Fallout

The Severine death is problematic but the bond theme kicking in as 007 says 'the latest thing from Q branch - it's called a radio" is pretty spot on.

I know people rightfully have issues with the contrivance of Silva's plan. And it isn't helped by Q saying 'this has been years in the making'

But really it's just the escape that is kind of too perfectly planned and executed. Everything before is silva just doing his private espionage job and once Bond enters the picture he sees an opportunity that might get him to M. On the day Bond arrives at the island Silva could have set it into motion knowing that M's hearing was scheduled. It's just the timing of Q plugging in Silva's laptop.

What bothers me much more is...Q not telling bond to get on the train, GET ON THE TRAIN!

Craig telling the train operator to 'open the door' is another nice delivery. Maybe it's repeat viewings but some of the humour in Skyfall works the more I watch it.

It seems like Silva should have been easy prey after he failed to kill M at the committee meeting.

The location scouting in SF was top notch - Skyfall house and grounds are nicely rundown and ancient. Like it was pulled from time. Works with bond's line 'going back in time'. It looks like they literally have.

The shot of the faceless mercenaries walking away from camera down toward Skyfall always reminded me of the climatic battle of Witness when the corrupt cops walk toward the Amish village.
