    So I ignore this thread for a little while, and somehow the second best PTS in the series, TWINE's boat-chase, is eliminated. Why didn't I vote for it yesterday, why?

    I get the TWINE elimination even if I don't agree, it belongs into my personal Top 10.

    What I don't get is the TB elimination. I mean why?? It features one of the best fights ever and the jetpack is as iconic as they come or not?

    TWINE PTS would be fine if it had been the banker sequence but tacking on that over long OTT boat chase was too far, they should of opened the film after the credits with it instead and it wouldn't be so bad.

    That being said I'm no fan of the Brosnan era and make no secret of it. It might well be one of the best PTS to his fans but it just makes me groan and get bored. I'll be looking to knock his films out, cruel thats life.

    TND is just generic and bores me and I know everyone seems to love GE but I'd be fine with the PTS and wouldn't be my next target after TND but the way they end it with that plane sequence just wound me up.

    In fact I remember being in the cinema and thinking this is a great way to begin this new era and then after that tense build up they spunk it away with that daft climax. To be honest that was the point that I lost GE and despite being my least disliked Brosnan film it remains alongside SPECTRE as one of the my biggest disappointments of my Bond fandom.

    For me TWINE is just too long. I'd have preferred the original idea of the boat chase being after the main titles.

    The fights in TB suffer from sped up action which tends to make them look off at times.

    It obviously didn't deserve to be eliminated as early as it was. That said, it is far from perfect. Seanery just looked silly in that helmet, and the water cannons were highly unconvincing as weapons. Still, I love the vibe that TB radiates, and the PTS is part of TB so I certainly cannot abominate it. If I ranked the PTSs, I imagine TB's would be upper mid-pack.

    I think if I said why I disliked a PTS I'd feel I was trying to sell the idea to others. As for TB, I don't dislike it at all, but I enjoy most of the PTS, and that one just ends towards the bottom of the league for me.

    Plus I'd forgotten the safety helmet looks a bit unintentionally funny, and those ineffective water canons.....
