    I love what Guy Hamilton had to say about James Bond movie pre-title sequences (regarding GF): "It's just a fun bit of nonsense". So I think it's best not to nitpick the Moonraker PTS with an expectation of realism (particularly if this expectation hasn't been applied to the PTS of TSWLM, where Bond mysteriously brings a parachute with him for when he has sex in cabins and miraculously knows to strap it on his back before departing just in case a group of Russian spies happens to ambush him and he has the opportunity to ski off a cliff). The pre-title sequences are typically designed to be a "fun bit of nonsense" and I find Moonraker's opening "fun bit of nonsense" to be spectacular. Not only was the footage in Moonraker shot mid air by men skydiving, but the jump had to be performed multiple times to get everything just right (including midair fight choreography). Since I'm aware the film itself (rather than the pre-title sequence, which is what we're ranking) isn't everyone's favorite, there's a short behind-the-scenes "making of" featurette here for anyone who hasn't seen it and has any interest--it's pretty fascinating:
    Plus, Moonraker's pre-title sequence has the added benefit of being scored by the one and only John Barry.
