    Yeah. But we don't even know if he's still interested, for a start...before even looking at his current credentials. I think Nolan looks more like the one after Villeneuve.

    No, he used to want to direct a Bond film, all the way back before Raiders. He’s shown no interest in directing one since then. Also, that Spielberg “might need a franchise film to bail himself out after a string of not so successful movies” just seems a crazy idea for one of the world’s most successful film-makers at such a late stage in his career. He must be absolutely loaded now and near thinking of retirement, he doesn’t ’need’ to do anything.

    Considering his penchant for sentiment, I’m not sure Bond is a good fit for him anyway.
