bloodstone spectre connection

May be a simple one but opinions are welcome... After playing bloodstone again for the possibly hundredth time, Nicole mentioned that a man came to her and asked her to join his operation. Perhaps that man is our good friend oberhauser,(forgive me as I have yet to see spectre as of this time of writing). Is it at all possible the bloodstone was included in the cycle that is the Daniel Craig bond universe and ties in with the movies?

You're not alone, another person on another 007 forum has also considered that possibility. Even Wikipedia has also mention Spectre/Blofeld could be behind what happened in Blood Stone.

Now that leave me with the question, was Alec Trevelyan and the Janus Syndicate in the re-imagined Goldeneye/Goldeneye: Reloaded could be also part of SPECTRE? I say this because everything in Daniel Craig continuity seem to trace back to SPECTRE. What was Trevelyan going to do with the money in this continuity since he's not a Lienz Cossack in this one, I could speculate that he (and the Janus Syndicate) could be SPECTRE member rather then independent organization. Alec Trevelyan in the re-imagining and Raoul Silva are both former MI6 agents and they both have a grudge against the UK govt, so I suspect SPECTRE could be behind what happened in the re-imagined Goldeneye.

What's interesting is that 007 Legends is definitely non-canon, or we'd have to accept two Blofelds in the same continuity. That game was awful, anyway, but I still enjoyed it much more than GoldenEye Reloaded.

Well I don't considered 007 Legends as canon unless Goldfinger, Sanchez, and probably Gustave Graves in this continuity are Spectre agents. But for Goldeneye, I have a feeling the Janus Syndicate and Alec are probably Spectre agent.

I am loving these possibilities! And I've never even played Bloodstone.

Play it, you'll love it. Middle of the game you'll wish there was a real movie about it :)

Originally, there were no plans to connect Blood Stone to either Silva or Spectre. We would all assume that. My guess is, whatever that was planned for Blood Stone's sequel inspired the villain in Skyfall. However, they could retcon this and probably sometime in the future, we might get the game we've been waiting for. Fighting Spectre, and a slight mention of Nicole Hunter could've been made.

I'm pretty sure that originally there were no plans to connect Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace or Skyfall to SPECTRE either. ;)

As @Walecs said, EON didn't knew they're were going to get right to SPECTRE and Blofeld. So I could say that Spectre/Blofeld could probably be the person behind what happened in Blood Stone.

Yes, I suppose they can insert the entry into the Spectre case very easily. But, the only problem of mentioning it I am guessing in another video game (in the future) published by another company might spark a problem... Unless, EON/MGM has the full rights to the script written for the game.

Well I know Blood Stone 2 will not be created and the ending in the first game is left like that. So that's why people are now speculating that Blofeld is behind this.

  • I always thought that Greco was the man that she spoke of. He was rich, younger, and handsome. All of the things she wanted - she didn't want to grow old, alone, and poor, as she says at the end of the game before she is killed.

I was really surprised that Greco hadn't played more of a major role in the game, as most of the previews and trailers focused on the Athens mission, letting it be assumed that it would play a major plot point in the story.

Whatever the sequel game was supposed to be, it was always in my mind that Greco would have returned and been unmasked as the man behind Nicole's scheme.

That could very well have been the possibility. I always thought Greco was underused.
