Mine amended. Seems I was entering mine at a similar time to the poster above. My apologies.

Seriously people, how hard is it to check the score above your post. Most of the people that play these games have been doing so for a while now. It's not exactly rocket science.
Check your score against the person above you, and in case two people post at the same time, a quick check of the poster above the last vote AFTER you've posted.
It's all just a bit of fun, but it does get frustrating having to correct scores all the time, just because of some.
We're only on page two, and we've already had multiple mistakes.

    Rant over. :-bd

I hope I got that right. JBDH was the last poster before my vote.

Seems like this game is already over as @suavejmf decided to strip all contestants down to zero. ;) I thought this was a rather abrupt end, so I will revive the thread ad continue with the scores from the previous post.

(Please feel free to vote again @suavejmf) ;)

Apologies, i just listed the Directors in order of preference.

And the Dalton fans whom seem blind to how bad Glen was keep voting for that lark.

Guys even Dalton didn't like Glen.

That's because people can't look at things objectively.

Apted clearly is the one that did the "worst" work.
Tamahori's direction was good. He is not to blame for vanishing cars, bad CGI and Yo Momma dialogue.

    I don't subscribe to that.

Tamahori's direction is downright inane at times ("dramatic" slow motion shots, for example). Cringeworthy. I don't care whoever thought it "brilliant" to laden action scenes with CGI, an insult to stuntwork in Bond films past, but in Tamahori's capacity, this should never have happened. But I'm guessing looking at his other work around this time, the finger of blame points directly at Tamahori.

I don't really care for Forster either, but he managed to produce something that is far more palatable and competently made in a difficulty and hasty production, albeit the rather frenzied editing (which even then only bothers me in two or three scenes).

Talking about the "dramatic" slow motion shots. I actually laughed really hard at the one from the laser scene, where zao's cape "blows"

Again, neither do I agree with that.

I'm voting for Glen not just because of his work in the Dalton era, but also the three Moore films. There is just something so warm and familiar about the Glen entries, yet every film is different and varied. He managed to direct two wildly different Bonds, and successfully too, in my opinion. The biggest appeal for Glen is that he directs action second to none.
It's no coincidence that the 80s came second only to the sixties in the decades game.

Yup no coincidence. I saw that coming for the same results here. Sorry Glen is just not my guy.

Yep that's why I've bunged a few generous votes in Glen's direction. Okay he wasn't an auteur but neither do I think the "they look like made for TV movies" criticism is warranted.

I certainly agree that he was the best action director\editor the series ever had which of course includes his efforts on OHMSS, TSWLM and MR as well as his own films. Some of the action sequences are comparatively brief - especially those small moment of genius from Rémy Julienne - but no less special.

As 4 of John Glen's movies (not AVTAK) and both movies from Martin Campbell will probably end up in my Top 11 in my current ranking it's an easy call for me to vote for John Glen. Had both of them the same number of movies it would be a tie.
TLD and OP and GE and CR are all in my Top 5.
