    Diamonds Are Forever

    Continuing on with my long-ass Bondathon, I reached Diamonds Are Forever. Despite it being bottom of my rankings, I still love it. Connery and Jill have such chemistry together. And you can't go wrong with Barry's score, can you? Bizarre and breezy. Usually I dread reaching DAF in my Bondathon. Well, until it gets going, of course. But this time, I had a blast. Different decade, different ethos. Also, I haven't watched watched DAF since November 2013. Maybe that has something to do with it ;)


    Octopussy

    I interrupted my Bondathon to view Octopussy on Thursday, in light of Sir Christopher Lee's passing; Bond films are my comfort films. (I would have watched Golden Gun, but I saw that film just recently). A real treat from start to finish. Moore and Adam's has such wonderful chemistry together. Plus. Kamal, Gobinda and Orlov provide some nice, and different, villainy. A real colourful cast in Octopussy.

    Continued by Bondathon with The Living Daylights. I can now for sure say this is in my top 5. Last year I had it as my 2nd of the 2 Daltons, but there is so much to love about this one.

    Bond Marthons in the US have been on Saturday and Sunday. So I coudn't help but watch another few this weekend :)

    Yesterday I watched You Only Live Twice. Its a film that I have funny relationship with. Either I can switch of my brain, and let the impressive production values shine through, or by the time we get to the countdown bit, I go out of the film.

    Luckily, this time, I had a hoot. Probably due to the fact that I haven't seen YOLT since Dec '13.

    Skyfall

    Engrossing, gripping first half, followed by an entertaining second half. I'm ashamed to say that I have watched SF ten times, including two at the cinema. So I'm thinking I'm going to have a little break from SF, at least until late October, anyway...
