If this is true i am very happy about it....
What I'm also looking forward to is the actual scenery of Austria. I hope Hoyte van Hoytema truly captures a lot of scenery shots and aerial shots of all those wonderful snowy Alps, pine forests and the small fairy-tale villages of Kartitsch and Obertilliach.

It confirms my suspicion that the cars will also be used on top of sleighs to make it look like they are accidentally sliding off the slopes.
Like I said.....I'm starting to think that regardless of skiing being used, the action sequence in Austria will actually great.

--> Closed: from 7:00 AM until 11:00 AM & 2:00 PM til 4:00 PM:
During this day shooting will be entirely focused on the wunderful brand-new Gaislachkoglbahn. Last month some shots were made of actors inside the actual cable car. This day mostly (aerial) exterior shots will be made of the 2nd Section (highest 2nd part of the trip) of the cable cars, as well as fixed shots. Remember, the "2nd Section" gondolas are larger (max. 28 persons) than the "1st Section" gondolas:
--> 12.02.2015 until 17.02.2015, Shooting on/off black ski slope no#30
--> Closed: from 5:00 AM until 3:30 PM every day:
During this period there will be filmed on the black and blue ski slopes indicated with no#30. I am not entirely sure if there will be two seperate units: One doing aerial shots and one for the real action. In any case, ski slope no#30 is not the most easy slope and is actually quite dangerous and steep (from what I've been reading on forums).

--> Closed: from 7:00 AM until 3:30 PM every day:
There will also be filmed on the Gletscherstraße Road and the Tiefenbachtunnel. The tunnel connects the Tiefenbach Glacier with the Rettenbachferner. The Gletscherstraße actually starts where ski slope no#30 ends, and it leads directly into the village of Sölden. I am also not sure if there will be two separate units: One filming on the slopes and one for filming on the Gletscherstraße Road.

That the interior of the Blenheim Palace (possibly doubling for Palazzo di Caserta in Caserta, Italy) has been build entirely on the 007-stage, and that there was filmed heavily with main cast and crew.
News also broke out that Jesper Christensen finished his filming in Pinewood recently.
So I added this to the shooting schedule. That, and the fact that they were filming for only three days until yesterday at night at Blenheim Castle.
It looks like Mendes is going to deliver a very different film to Skyfall.
I also see a lot of similarities between the Connery-era and the Craig-era
Both actors kicked off quite "serious". Well DN was a defining film, in which Bond was still a "blunt instrument". This continued under direction of Terence Young with FRWL.
In a way this reminds me of the approach both Martin Campbell/Marc Forster to the duology CR/QOS and Sam Mendes intentions with SF.
Then now with SP, director Sam Mendes evolves in a similar way as Terence Young did with TB, in that he wants to add more fun, slightly bit more escapism, by going all the way with a bigger villain's scheme.
Add to that the infusion of more comedy elements from Guy Hamilton's approach with his film GF, and we see the creation of a wonderful, smooth quadrology of Bond films (CR/QOS/SF/SP) with a slow but steady evolvement towards more humour, the inclusion of better historical background and a tight focus on continuity, that was not really present in the Connery-era-
PLUS, a dash of Peter Hunt's OHMSS, with all that snow and wonderful, believable romance & drama.
These are frikkin' exciting times for Bond fans. And in my honest opinion, much more exciting as during the Brosnan-era. Both creatively and quality-wise.
Well, the actual car chase shooting will take place early March. I think someone, @Marketto007, has posted those dates already. Today's shooting so far for me didn't look like the actual car chase.....
