    I agree, not very funny but I think it was Carver making fun of her as a woman of action. Out of place against him, with his world of computers and electronic information. If that makes sense.

    It was unintentionally silly and undercut the character who, up to that point, had been effective.

    I always liked the HALO stunt too, its often overlooked when talking about stunts in Bond films.

    The audience I saw it with gasped at some of those mazing shots in that sequence.
