    EXACTLY!!! Which is my major problem with just about EVERY potential Bond actor mentioned.
    Where, in Fleming's FRWL Bond description is 007 described as wearing a beard or any facial hair? For f***'s sake even Santa Claus now would probably be a contender if he weren't past the age limit!
    I simply will not accept a Bond who looks like he belongs in a cheesy '90's boy band a'la Backstreet Boys.
    Somehow, I doubt Babs will either when she actually does replace Craig.

    I have an actor in mind, a personal favourite candidate who no one's mentioned; who I know would tear up the screen as Bond, has the incredible acting ability, screen presence and oozes charisma on screen. He's 37, 5ft 11, Australian and doesn't pose about in suits much and interestingly enough used to be an underwear model. Lets see who can guess who I'm talking about? Doubt he'd get the role though.

    Are you talking about Travis Fimmel @doubleoego? If so, I guessed it because I know you've been watching Vikings and enjoying it. I'll admit that I don't know anything about him.

    Yeah it's him :)) The guy is phenomenal as Ragnar and it's the little things in his acting that really elevate his captivating performance in the role.

    This was a great scene from mid season 4 where Ragnar comes back after years from absconding from his responsibilities as King and as a parent.

    He certainly knows how to play intense based on this clip. He has range, but it's difficult to imagine him as Bond since this is such a different genre. I'll keep a look out for his work going forward.

    Liam Neeson apparently was approached for Bond before Brosnan but his then wife didn't want him to take the role, because she thought it would ruin his career. What a difference a few decades make. I'm sure he didn't think at the time that he'd be all over the action genre now.

    Looking at Travis, clean shaven and with a Bondian haircut I could see that. He looks strong.

    Holland = Midget. No.
    Dornan = Looks the part, lacks the acting chops.
    Egerton = Doesn't have the look. He actually looks a tad 'Council Estate'.

    Indeed. A perfect fit for Kingsman's Eggsy perhaps, but not Bond.

    I predict that DC will return for one more, meaning a new star for 2020. I think it will either be somebody not even on the radar at the moment or, if it is someone reasonably well known today, it will be Aaron Taylor Johnson. You heard it here first!
