You can't be blonde and brown haired at the same time.

Different lighting can bring out different shades to be fair.

There is also, of course, the possibility he was dying his hair for Bond. It wouldn't surprise me at all, especially by his middle or even later films. His natural hair colour seemed lighter brown though.

Honestly, I think you could have said the same about Connery as Bond with his strange duck's mouth, bushy eyebrows, and lined, craggy face (for the record I think like Craig he was a good looking guy, and had that charisma/sexuality, but I can very much understand some not believing him to be good looking. Again, it's the rugged aspect to their appearances).

I will say both Connery and Craig certainly aged better than Jude Law (not to say he's aged badly at all, but I'm not sure he quite has that same spark to him compared to when he was younger. But I think that's down to him not having Craig or Connery's charisma or screen presence).

Connery was more handsome than Craig, in the vein of Clark Gable, Cary Grant, or Gary Cooper.

I always describe Craig as a Steve McQueen's stunt double, but we don't have Steve McQueen for the close-ups.

Connery's the type of man I can believe being considered not so good looking if he wasn't a movie star or dressed as well as he did (or basically had his charm/charisma). Honestly, he looks a bit rough from certain angles by his later Bond films!

That's what matters most though. It's better to be unique looking with charisma and sexuality than good looking but a block of wood. I know many people who say Craig is good looking.

Exactly, brown hair. At most, light brown hair. Thats not dirty blonde. Daniel Craig was dirty blonde. If you say Roger Moore had blonde hair, you're just a Daniel Craig apologist.

Bit dramatic, but ok :)) I wasn't arguing about his hair colour. I just said he looked different to the others, and think all the actors look and come across differently. Even 'tall, dark, and handsome' can have millions of variations.

Anyway, hair colour is a boring conversation when it comes to Bond. I'd rather talk about how the actor comes across onscreen.

I think he looked good, but you know, he was bald. :D

Maybe Craig's just not your type Deke ;)

On the flip side I know women who've watched early Bond films and would say they really don't find Connery attractive!

Perhaps it's not the type for many people!

As I said, if it had been Jude Law there would have been no complaints

Perhaps. It's all subjective to a point. Both Bonds seemed to have many people who considered/consider them attractive though.

Nah, fans would complain no matter what I fear! And I don't think Law would have made a better Bond than Craig, so it's all for the best.

The elephant in the room is that Craig wasn't that handsome.

Yes, Craig is a good actor, and in a way, they also adapted his Bond to suit him.

That's why I say being handsome is the best weapon the next Bond could have. His Bond would be different just because of that.

Ok. I'm guessing you don't fashion model scout for a living? :))

The problem with Craig is that he's not that handsome. Nobody would have complained if Jude Law had been chosen.

    I would have.
You can't be blonde and brown haired at the same time. The only people who say Roger Moore are blonde is when they want to excuse Daniel Craig for actually being blonde. It's weird.

    The-Man-With-the-Golden-Gun-223.jpg

Hair colour can most definitely change. Some people get more blond during summertime for instance, or when they get older. Moore had much lighter hair than Connery, Lazenby, Dalton or Brosnan. He was blond when he did The Persuaders.

I guess, if I had to take a stance on the colour of anything, I might be persuaded to say that blue eyes are perhaps mildly preferable as they perhaps sparkle a bit more on the screen, and eyes are the windows to the soul etc. But even then I'm sure plenty of film stars have had dark eyes and it not to have mattered, and maybe I'm just a silly ol' Roger apologist at heart :P
