It's quite strange to see in a screen actor nowadays, at least in my opinion. I actually don't remember him having the habits as noticeably in the episodes of Sandington I watched, or that Viking thing. His co stars don't seem to have this habit either from the clips I watched.
Perhaps he's a sort of Henry Cavill type. Not an overly natural actor, but likeable enough onscreen (and let's be honest, probably benefits from his looks. I must admit though I don't see quite as much charisma in him compared to Cavill). If he gets a director willing to do the extra work with him he can put in a relatively decent performance. I know he's got this Anna Biller horror coming out so it'll be interesting seeing him in a film (although it looks like an ode to Technicolor horrors, which means the acting may well be quite heightened anyway, so I don't expect subtlety). I think he's playing a Bob Crotchet type in some sort of Christmas Carol movie coming out next month too. Not leading parts by any means, but worth keeping an eye on.
With Ebenezer Screwge in the lead!? 🤪
:))
Yes he was extremely wobbly-headed in the 90s; the stiff-necked Batman mask actually helped him keep it straight!
It's particularly important for Bond - a character who is, very often, extraordinarily confident. The character has to be magnetic, and often it's where they look and how they come across in those smaller expressions that really makes it impactful.
