As others have asked, why is it safe to assume?
I myself wouldn’t be interested in seeing a Bond film with Page OR ATJ.

He said he was taking time off from actor. Don't know that he would commit to something this long in addition to Thor.

Supposedly it tends to be more bs than truth. But every now and then they have a true story. I’m surprised that we don’t know directors or other writers yet.
Those would have to be hired first, before any actors are auditioned. So why is no one dropping "scoops" on them?
Because everyone knows that it will be Purvis and Wade writing. Maybe they’ll direct this time.
To put this "scoop" into context, before Christmas this site released a story to say "The next James Bond will be a person of colour" .

One, if not both, of the stories are wrong I think they've just embellished on the ATJ rumours and there's no merit to their story

I think you're grasping at straws with that one. He's on a red carpet. That's how actors react. In fact, it's quite clever of him. A wink means he's acknowledging the reporter but doesn't have to say anything.

Aren't most films 'redundant', though? Isn't the film business 1% art and 99% commercial anyway? I don't think Bullet Train is innovative, ground-breaking, or artistically relevant. But it's a perfectly enjoyable film to a lot of people, albeit a film that conflates tons of things we've seen before. I equate this to a sugary soft drink. It's the same mass-produced stuff, lacking the subtlety of exclusive wines, but under a hot son and when craving someting sweet, the 'redundant' stuff can be perfectly satisfying.
The first time I watched Bullet Train i didn't like it but the second time i watched it i liked it.
What a load of old crap. Just because he hasn't lived like 007 he can't play 007? Someone introduce this guy to the concept of 'acting'.
