    I'm working my way through the ebook Humble Bundle at the moment. It's nice to devour the story all in one go but sometimes I think I'd be getting more from it if I had to wait in suspense for a while.

    I understand that viewpoint as well. For me, the hardcovers look nicer in a comic book collection, Bond or others. Plus, it's a time thing. Have the story in one, and read it in an afternoon off. One of my little joys in life.

    The only reason I read them issue per issue upon release is because I'm a very impatient fan. Otherwise, it's wiser to wait for the hardcover edition with all the issues collected in one.

    I buy them issue-by-issue because I've been a comic book geek since the '60s, when comics only came out as individual issues and GNs were a format undreamed-of. I'm starting to sell off some of my older & more valuable books now -- don't ask how much $$$ I've taken in for them over the last few years! But GNs don't appreciate in "value" the way floppies do -- so I'll stick with the floppies, thank you very much!

    I prefer the single issue format. I find them more pleasant to hold in my hands and to page through, they feel more "genuine" within the comic book medium and unlike many, I actually welcome the news about future comic releases.

    I like the hardcover collections, especially as a collecting item. They look better on my bookshelf. I do buy the single issues as digital comics though, simply because i am not a Patient man and there is no way i'm gonna wait over half a year to read a comic, when parts of it are available already.

    I feel like you get a bit more invested in the story when you read the book over the course of 6 month instead of buying it and reading it in one go. Also i like the anticipation of the next issue being released, especially when the series is really good.

    Yeah, it's a confirmation this Oddjob isn't the Oddjob of Goldfinger.

    And it appears we have them both (Bond and Oddjob) teaming up on a common interest. Love it.

    Not gonna lie, i am very disappointed that Marc Laming is leaving after only 3 issues. I hope this Stephen Mooney fella is up to the task.
    So neither this series nor Origin seem to be a 6 issue story arc apparently.
    I guess we'll have to wait and see how these series will develop.

    Didn't Mooney previously work on a Bond comic?

    I think he did the artwork for one the various VARGR covers.

    Sort of reminds me of Mike Grell's 007 in the Eclipse Comics Bond series, "Permission to Die."

    Indeed it does. That's why I purchased the first issue of James Bond with Mooney's cover three years ago.

    Psst: Bond/comics fans may want to check out Bettie Page Vol 2 #1 (just released by Dynamite Comics) -- back in 1962, unbeknownst to her fans, the Queen of Pin-ups was actually working as an undercover agent for the US government, and in this issue, Bettie teams up with a suave British agent named "Byrne, Thomas Byrne." This one's got it all: UFOs, aliens, the kidnapping of Queen Elizabeth, and a ride in Mr. Byrne's "very pretty automobile." Nobody does it quite like this...

    Just for the comic i swear lol, but i didn't mind the rest either...

    I did as well...along with some unrelated presents for my kids, which made for an interesting check out at the bookstore!

    Yupp, really enjoyed this one. Origin is shaping up to be a great series. I hope they will continue it for a while.
