    After hearing that the Folio Society released the Ian Fleming novels out of order for their rereleases, do you think Dynamite could do a similar approach? I mean, for LALD, everyone seems nervous about releasing it because of it's racist overtones. However, Van Jensen has a script and Dennis Calero wants to do it. Perhaps they'll skip right to Moonraker, possibly because it's so loved by Bond fans.

    The next issue of Playboy will feature a 6 page standalone comic by the Team of James Bond Origin.

    Yikes!
    The CR graphic novel is now selling for £5.45 on Amazon. While this is great news for fans who don't have a copy yet, it's surely a bad sign for Dynamite and the future of these Fleming adaptations if new copies are being sold at such a ridiculously low cost?

    It could be on sale. Meanwhile on American Amazon, it says it's $20.99. Barnes and Noble says it's $23.85. Don't truly panic yet, although I'm worried that we haven't heard anything on LALD and MR yet. Van Jensen has a script, and Dennis Calero wants to illustrate it, and above all, the fans want them back. Van Jensen says that he is working on James Bond Origins in some capacity (writing, mostly likely), so it should be only a matter of time.

    Same. Only two more days.

    It's been almost a year since I took any interest in contemporary James Bond comics.

    Obviously I disregarded The Body which ran for six months too long and we didn't get an adult-aged Bond comic after that up until now. So, it's been a long time.

    Origin saga is good so far.

    Yes, it's been way to long since we had a good new Bond comic. The Body doesn't exist as far as i'm concerned and the break afterwards didn't help either. Dynamite messed up their momentum after Kill Chain.

    Let's hope the new series will not repeat that mistake

    The last question is about the future of the Novel adaptions, and if i understood him correctly (very loud and noisy at that specific point) is that another team is doing LALD.
    If thats the case then it might come out soon.

    So excited for Oddjob tomorrow! Can't believe it's been so long since Kill Count. Why did they waste so much time with The Body? Give us Felix Leiter V2 & LALD.

    My thoughts on Oddjob:

    It's as amazing as i thought and hoped it would be. The art is impeccable, the best looking Bond so far imho. The action and movement feels real. The locations are beautifully and look authentic.

    Oddjob is a great character with tons of personality, and the first villain that is Bonds 'equal' in the comics. Similar to Trevelyan in GE. Not in character but in skills and knowledge.

    If they can keep the quality up for the upcoming issues, this will easily be my favorite Dynamite comic.

    I wouldn't say it's the best we've ever had, but the issue has been fairly decent.

    The Oddjob we see in this comic doesn't look or seem like the Oddjob that we know.

    All in all, we'll be in for a surprise, I feel. Can't wait for the second issue.

    Still thinking and feeling that Goldfinger, Pussy Galore or some other classic characters will make an appearance.

    But...

    There's something fishy about...
    Portraying Oddjob as a fit and suave Korean secret agent. This is not the Oddjob that we know and have seen in Goldfinger. Seeing as the Fleming stories have already taken place in this timeline, I doubt this Oddjob is the same one. He's either a descendant/son, or a legacy name keeper, heir to the position, an imitator or just a huge fan of the original Oddjob's methods he decided to become him. Although, Oddjob was a mute person both in the novel and film, but here he's quite talkative and with a sense of humour, I might add.

    I note that no actual TITLE for this story appears in the comic itself. Maybe they're saving it for a surprise reveal?

    Enjoying it so far, but must admit I miss the PTS gimmick that other James Bond issue 1's have.
    Also, Greg Pak is interviewed on this weeks @JamesBondRadio . It's a wonderful interview and he hints at some surprises to come.

    Thanks for the tip with thr JBR interview. Just listened to it. Glad to hear they have 12 issues ploted out already and ideas beyond that. So that means we will probably have a stable 2019 in terms of monthly Bond comics. Hopefully additional stuff like one shots and more novel adaptions along the way. Looking forward to it.

    Sounds very likely now. He did say "we have suprises for old school Bond fans" So i think they will definitly bring some classic characters into the mix and re-imagine them, which i am all for. They obviously did that already with Felix and Tiger so i think that's great. And you can't really write an Oddjob story without at least mentioning Goldfinger at some point.

    Patience, please! I read it late last night & enjoyed it. Also picked up the current issue of Playboy for the "Bond Origins" story in there. At least this one had a Bond Woman in it, something Origins #3 lacks.

    Just read issue 2 of Origin (long story short : I had too much to do this past fortnight), and as a frenchman, of course, I couldn't help but notice some bad french. At the end of page 8, to be precise. Bond says "Aller se faire cuire un œuf." He should havez said either "Va te faire cuire un œuf." (the familiar, second person singular, phrasing), or, if he wated to stay polite : "Allez vous faire cuire un œuf.", but that phrase is not polite. It's simply a mean to tell somebody to F... off, without using the F word. As for the German on the opposite page, "Liebchen" (darling(s)) would certainly be more exact. And it should be "Deutsch ist gut", not "Deutsh ist guten".
