  • DAF I really enjoyed this one last night, as has been the case more recently. While I'm not ready to move it up in my rankings, I have to say it's one of the more enjoyable and entertaining Bond films for me. Full of colourful gaudiness and camp,…

  • Yes, I can imagine that was the biggest draw. Presumably most didn't care that it wasn't EON Productions making the film though (e.g. I'm assuming people didn't stay away because it was a rogue production). This subject is being discussed because…

  • Firm #2 behind the near perfect FRWL for me. My whole point though was that NSNA proves Bond can survive EON. Babs and Michael have pretty much admitted that themselves (not about NSNA, but that Bond will live beyond them).

  • Interesting read. Well their stamp is now all over the series. Curious to see where they take it from here. It looks like they've decided to kick the can down the road for one more, and then it might get stressful for them again. It's quite cl…
  • To be fair I didn't really mind the fight at Stacey's @ToTheRight. I know it's not Rog doing that somersault up at the stairs but it sure looked like him due to the edit. True, the urn joke added some levity to it. I know the move you're referrin…

  • Oh I agree @Creasy47, and that's the real irony. It's almost like they don't even know what formula means. Like they've lost touch with their past. At the risk of getting hate thrown my way, perhaps they should sit in a room and see what Tom's been …
  • I get the feeling with the more recent films that they're throwing scraps out to us rabid fans of the old style of films. Almost like they're doing us a favour from up on high. *Oh, you want an Aston Martin gag do you?* * Well here you are then.…

  • The problem they've had (imho) since Moore vacated the role is versatility and adaptability. Dalton, Brosnan and now Craig have all had their strengths, but they don't (again imho) have that versatility which both Moore and Connery before him had. T…

  • I'd say P&W are instrumental in this approach as well. After all, once they were hired they started down this 'drama' approach, portraying Dench as a surrogate 'mother' and what not (*cringe*). The Craig era has just taken that forward a few ste…
