Special screening in Afghanistan with DC attending

Now this is the sort of thing he actually loves doing, since it has a meaning and has to do with real people, instead of interviewers, who try to get infos out of him, he is not prepared to give.

Wow, this is incredibly cool. Just like the documentary someone posted months ago with Craig, this seems to be him at his heart: doing something generous that he really loves. Well done, Craig; you're always receiving points in my book.

    I smell a caption contest...

"When I heard Tom Ford had taken inspiration from the military for his new suits, I didn't think he meant this!"

In all seriousness though what a wonderful thing to do.

I am sure, if he could, he would like to do this without getting in the press. Its the kind of guy he is. Do good, but don't talk about it. You can't avoid it, of course, if you are JB.

Private Scott Craggs from 3 Medical Regiment said: "It was really good morale for everyone, it’s a decent thing for him to take time to come out and visit everyone here.”

#Afghanistan: #DanielCraig visited the hospital in Camp Bastion and went on the ranges and got a chance to fire some of the machine guns

#Afghanistan: #DanielCraig then get shown counter-IED techniques and had a go himself

Great DC! This is good PR!

" His " James Bond was in Afghanistan before he was promoted, if we go after the bio that was written to Casino Royale.

I might be wrong @Kerim, but I don't think that was @Germanlady's father.

    Oops, I misread it.

Still, a great thrill for the military in Afghanistan.
  • Very good effort made by Dan to support the troops in Afghanistan. Not every day that James Bond turns up, especially a place like that!

Seems, just shortly before the film was going to start, he showed up before those 800 soldiers and that must have been a real WTF moment. Afterwards they had a 20 minutes Q&A session with him and I am sure, he enjoyed that way more then being squeezed into a chair for hours.

why cant EON make a bond film with a realistic terrorist, oh I don't know lets say a Muslim Fanatic based out of Afghanistan running a off-spring terrorist group affiliated with the Taliban or al qaeda?

oh wait that wouldn't be politically correct, because muslims would be so offended! but its okay, lets make the villain a white guy every single time.....god this culture I live in is so censored and controlled.

Balls to the "good PR"; it was just a nice thing to do.

If there is anything, he is NOT, its a PR man. He does what's necessary to promote a film and tons of it, but he wouldn't do a "good dead" for the sake of PR. That's just not him. Like I said, he would rather do it and nobody knew. But nowadays, that is not possible aymore.
