The teaser poster would be the icing on the cake. I hope everything hasn't been spoilt before Monday.
  • Great find. The pictures off the link look awesome!

THE PICTURES ARE AWESOME! I love it when the pictures don't spoil a huge part of the film, but more tease you as to what is going on, like these do.

This is a preview of our set visit to the upcoming James Bond film, "Skyfall." Check back Monday for the full report, including interviews with Daniel Craig, Judi Dench and Javier Bardem.

There’s the call of action, people stop moving around to gaze at the monitor and all around is silence… except for the sound of Daniel Craig walking through a London underground tunnel and taking aim at Javier Bardem. Bardem is half-way up a ladder and, you would think, an easy target. But nonetheless, dialogue ensues.

I’m at Pinewood Studios, 20 miles west of London, deep in the British countryside. It’s where Nicole ‘n’ Tom holed up for the interminable "Eyes Wide Shut" production. Before that, the "Carry On" films had their home here. And most recently, it provided a trip down memory lane for "My Week With Marilyn."

But the one enduring force to have seen this lot come and go is the pillar of Pinewood, James Bond, and he’s back, filming "Skyfall," the 23rd outing for 007.

After the long-drawn-out forced down-tools of MGM’s business affairs, it’s very much business as usual here on the lot. The set is enormous, not including the abandoned Japanese city, complete with tattered statue of a forgotten hero -- which looks like it weighs a ton… misleadingly.

Inside, there’s a London tube carriage hanging halfway off the wall, ready to do some damage once Craig and Bardem, all blond and incongruous in a police uniform, have stopped hurting each other. Nearby, a half-built helicopter waits.

Through another door, and we’re in Shanghai -- a casino, to be precise. The ornate carvings on the balconies were made in China and all shipped over to be reconstructed, apparently. The hammering will have to stop this weekend when filming starts in here. For one day, two at max. And then the set will be broken down. It’s a lot of work for a few minutes of plot.

Ah yes, the plot. Well, the stars are all doing their best to keep everything under wraps, but no one off screen is as good a poker player as James Bond, unfortunately

New ‘Skyfall’ Photos And Plot Details Have Been Released

As the long wait until Skyfall, the 23rd James Bond film, finally hits theaters in the U.S. on November 9 continues to crawl ever onward, we’re finally getting some more images and plot details from the set of the upcoming film. Curious to see what Bond has been up to since Quantum of Solace? Check out the new pictures and details after the jump.

/Film has it that there will be a “setpiece involving a confrontation between James Bond (Daniel Craig) and the villain Silva (Javier Bardem) that is partially resolved through the intervention of a crashing London Tube train,” while also confirming the existence of a “stunning” Shanghai casino set, as well as the “remnants of an impressive deserted town meant to be on an island off the coast of Japan.”

Moreover, Albert Finney will be playing a new character named Kincaide, who has an affinity for 19th Century English firearms—like percussion pistols and elephant guns. Globetrotting, gunplay, Javier Bardem playing a villain, and elephant guns? Go ahead and sign me up now for this ridiculousness—I’m in.

Skyfall will be the first Bond film to have an IMAX release, and will see aworldwide release on October 26, and its United States release is on November 9, 2012.

According to IGN, all this 'big media blitz' seems to be is those invited to Pinewood are allowed to release their on set interviews with the cast and crew on Monday.

It should - hopefully - give us some more information though.

If IGN is involved hopefully we get some Bond video game news as well. That would be grand.
  • I think it's way too early for a trailer or a poster yet, but seeing a poster would be nice. Or maybe it's not too early. Also, Bond in 3D might be a good idea. Hope our expectations aren't blown, I would very much like to see some form of what I just said. Also, if they reveal some things about the theme song, I hope it won't be sung by a band I hate.

I also have a feeling Skyfall is going to suck, and I'm so excited for it. Is this normal? :L

How about a mini press conference with a unveiling of the teaser poster with Bond on the rooftop. News on the plot, so to stop all the speculation and news on who is singing the theme

I don't think it's going to be good or that it's going to suck. I'm not making up my mind until I've seen it this time. Still, apart from 1 or 2 things (M being overused again, Q being a young, serious guy), there doesn't seem to be any reason why I won't enjoy it.

Nice that you can have some humor about that post. Personally, negative views of Bond such as these, without any rhyme or reason, are a waste of space. A real Bond fan would never be excited about the prospect of or want to have a bad Bond movie and this is not normal in any way...unless he hates the current Bond. I hope the mods keep a good eye on Boris Scaramanga.

I will also say that his initials definitely sum up the last sentence of his post. And I'll predict I'll soon hear from my "good friend" regarding my "opinion".
Consider me super duper hyped!!! \m/

That's the right attitude and me too!

I wasn't being serious, I just have this feeling that it won't live up to my expectations. I was just putting my opinion forward. I'm hyped for Skyfall all the same, but part of me just thinks it will suck, really, since I'm not too keen on Craig at the moment.

I had a feeling that might be the issue. Keep the faith and think positive, this is going to be different than CR and QOS and I think we are going to get a great traditional type of Bond film. After 40+ years of watching these films, I'm smelling a great one coming :D

About time we got one too. We need to go back to a time when Bond was more simple and try and recreate that. Media blitz here we come! \:D/

I know that some of the people who did reports last week from the set said they weren't allowed to release all their information until today.

Some websites, like COMINGSOON.NET said last week that they had some interviews with Judi Dench, and visited the MACAU Casino set.
