    Important, but overrated. Note that I didn't say "bad" or even "mediocre", yet it's reputation as a top tier Bond film is somewhat unfounded. Brosnan isn't quite there yet for the role and the film has a weird meandering section after the title sequence that consists of box ticking and plot setup. It takes a whole half hour for the film to finally get itself in gear. When it does, it takes off like a shot. Sean Bean is terrific villain material and Famke is nearly Volpe tier in the femme fatale department. Despite it's flaws, still good fun.

    TOMORROW NEVER DIES

    The best edited Bond film in 20 years. Brosnan's best performance. Arnold's best score. A mediocre script elevated by slick action and stylish photography. Some of my good vibes are chalked up to sentimental value (this was the first Bond film I'd ever seen), but even without that it remains an entertaining film. Unencumbered by the "innovation" the subsequent films would try to bring, TND just succeeds at being thrilling.

    Like where you're going young man. Your rankings are good (though I'd put FRWL top and put Dr No higher, mix up the top 5 a bit, but other than that I think we like the same things, I also think TND Brosnan's best and never tire of watching it.

    It is highly entertaining! Pierce Brosnan is fantastic! The humor is wonderful, and the action and stunt work (such as the motorcycle chase) are immensely impressive! :D

    Back from my second viewing of SPECTRE. Just as good a second time. Definitely in the upper tier of my top 5. Need a couple more viewings to fully give it a solid placing. But all im gonna say is, this Bond fan sure is happy.

    Watched YOLT with my kids last weekend. The space stuff looked pretty hokey to their 21st century eyes, but they liked the Japan locale. I appreciate a few moments, but Connery's performance gets more and more uninteresting every time I watch it.

    I've seen Spectre twice now and it's only been out since Thursday night here. Not sure where I'd rank it yet, but it's staying in my head and I enjoyed a lot about it! I was able to relax and enjoy it a lot more during the second time now that I wasn't anxious about what was to happen!

    Quantum of Solace.

    Not a perfect film by far, but I enjoyed it more with this viewing than ever before.

    I loved it, this exceded my expectations. I had high hopes for it but at the same time i was worried for the mixed reviews but i had nothing to worry about.

    Pure fun entertainment

    My work schedule didn't cooperate, and I didn't get to see Spectre until last night. Without spoiling anything, I loved it! I'd rank it about on par with Skyfall, which is great. Not quite as good as Casino Royale, my favorite of Craig's.

    Octopussy and A View To A Kill have been on TV on Saturday nights for the last two weeks (I believe it was Moonraker three weeks ago). Skyfall has been on Sunday nights twice now, and Casino Royale was on TV last Monday. Couldn't catch them all but yeah, it really does remind me just how great of a franchise the Bond series is.

    Watched SPECTRE at the cinema on Monday.

    It is outstanding! It is second only to Casino Royale for my favorite 007 film starring Daniel Craig, so far.

    SPECTRE is a lot of fun! The humor and wit are wonderful. The locations are beautiful. The villains are comical and classic Bond. :)

    Tomorrow Never Dies

    Going through a few Bond movies to tame the excitement for Spectre. Found a new kind of appreciation for TND, not a great Bond entry by any means, but one that flows along nicely and is very entertaining in it's own right. The quintessential "middle of the road" adventure.

    Spectre (again!)

    The damn movie is that good that I have difficulties watching anything else.

    Somehow the only thing I wanna see is Spectre...not even GoldenEye or OHMSS can lure me into pressing play on the remote.

    And today I had CNN and Swiss and German news on for much too long, it's just depressing. The world is going to hell it seems.

    I agree it should have been edited down considerably, and made into a two parter. That would have worked much better and I agree with most of your suggestions for improvement, except Tangiers, which I did like a lot..

    I needed you in my theatre the last time I saw it. Some idiots were texting throughout the entire Tangiers sequence. However, you probably would have been asleep during this section if you were there, based on your comments.

    FRWL. One of my faves. My husband had never seen it before, and he enjoyed it. His assessment: "Good story, good acting, but slower moving than what we're used to today." Also, this was the first time if seen the movie since I had actually visited some of those locations! That was pretty special :)

    Sorry to hear about the crappy moviegowers you had to deal with, @Birdleson. I was really happy to find out it was playing a day before the 6th. I'm glad SP improved a little bit for you. I agree with some of your points. Fortunately for me the good outweighed the stuff I could have gone without. I probably need a second watch to be 100% clear on it, but I don't really see movies twice at the theater. Looking forward to the Bluray though.

    Watched TLD and DAF last week, enjoyed both. TLD gets better, think more so because of the last two Craig films, a film of TLD level now would be most welcome. DAF is what it is, borders on terrible though I find it fun to watch.
