    Hey, something I just found out today, both TD and DC said in interviews that DN and FRWL were among their favs. Also I believe SC weighed in, saying FRWL was the fav bond that he made. So 3 (that's three) of the six (6) Bond actors have FRWL as one of their fav's, WOW! Fancy that! 3:-O

    TD & DC have great taste, as does SC. Even RM does (he stated TSWLM is the one he most enjoys of his run) imho. My rankings from a recent Bondathon somewhat reflect their opinions.

    True. But the difference is Moore can pull all the comedy off and Brosnan can't at some points in his tenure.

    Having TND "only" at No 9 now makes me feel guilty :))

    but then it could go up as I'm doing a new Bondathon in almost random order.

    TND is a very entertaining film. I really enjoyed it in my recent Bondathon.

    However, it falls short for me because it wants to be a Gilbert film but isn't up to the levels that it should be, and I didn't feel sufficient sexual chemistry between the leads (a must for me). Finally, it lacks some of the 'romance' and 'glamour' (especially in the 'babe' dept). that are also a must for me to rank a Bond film higher.

    Nevertheless, very entertaining action oriented Bond film (and probably the last one they did like that).

    Poor Brosnan. Don't agree on your rankings of TND or GE (they would be higher) but would agree on DAD and TWINE. TND is probably in my Top 10.

    Looking at the list DN seems low. Apart from GE the Brosnan era is a low point and I agree with the rankings.

    Spot-on!

    GE is my No 1 movie as you know.

    TND could have been my No 2 I guess if those qualities that you say are missing were in it.
    While I like Michelle Yeoh very much she surely is not a love interest for Bond.
    And Teri Hatcher (why on earth did they cast her??) is just wrong and I'm glad her screen time is limited enough not to hurt the movie too much.

    TND with the romance and the babe factor that GE had would be so great!

    This is a very good list, except you accidentally put the four Brosnan movies at the bottom instead of incorporating them into your ranking!

    ...just joking of course ;)
    you clearly dislike that era for whatever reasons and that's ok.

    Anyone who has both Dalton movies in the Top 10 and FRWL and OHMSS is alright.

    Absolutely, and Elliot Carver is my favourite villain, every line he speaks is a classic.
    Jonathan Pryce is fantastic and his overacting totally fits the role of the megalomaniac.

    The PTS is the best in the whole franchise, there is no denying that.

    TND definitely is Top 10 material and many of my friends like it as much as Goldeneye or even a bit better.

    Another observation, chris is only the 3rd person I've seen who has ranked TND at number 1

    TND certainly is not the typical No 1 Bond movie in rankings.

    From 1997 to 2002 TND was my No 1 actually. Then DAD was my No 1 for a year or so.
    In 2006 GE was my No 1 again (as it was in 1995/1996), and DAD and TND dropped considerably in my ranking to the lower part of my Top 10.

    But I can imagine TND climbing up again in my current Bondathon. We'll see.

    OMG it's 9 in mine too lol. I found it very tricky to place. I want to place it higher but it's too generic for me to do that.

    It's so crowded at the top in that ranking. That's the problem really.

    After broadening my mind about Bond in general on this site I almost feel bad having DAD at No 10 for instance.

    TND could never go higher than 7 I have to say because the first 6 in my ranking are made of all 6 actors and no matter how I turn it around it always ends up that way.

    Because all 6 actors have at least one truly great movie. The order of the Top 6 may change though in my current Bondathon.
