Out of curiosity I checked earlier today and it's still not available in the US. Perhaps they've seen the error of their ways and are holding it back?

Well, one can only hope so ;)

@Murdock, and instead of a spider in a cage on the table, it's a really, really old Nokia phone, and the only thing it's capable of doing is playing that game.

Oh trust me, you got the wrong guy!

Even speaking about that game, though, makes me miss another Bond FPS. I want something like QoS, that was a lot of fun.

what a load of crap that game turned out to be... though, my expectations weren't high to begin with... i thought it would be impossible to find a Bond game that would make 007 Legends look good.. but WOE has done it...

    come to think of it...

the acronym for this game is WOE.. which, the definition of the word WOE is "great sorrow or distress - or things that cause great sorrow or distress"... they at least got that part right.

I see no difference between 007 Legends and GoldenEye Wii/Reloaded, at all. They were the very same game, same graphics, same tools, same textures, same design, same everything. Legends felt pretty much like a standalone expansion pack to Activision's GoldenEye, and I've got to say that I heavily disapprove of them both. There are two games in Activision's era that are worth playing and experiencing, which are PS2's Quantum, and of course... Blood Stone. Other than that, the whole series were jettisoned into the pit of darkness. I guess it's going to be a long time till we see a Bond game on a major platform.

is it wrong that after seeing the garbage Glu has put out that I would preffer 007 legends 2 at this point?

I just can't believe the world of bond gaming has resulted in this

@Risico007, I'm right there with you. I'd put 100 hours into a copy of '007 Legends 2' before I put ten seconds into that mobile game.

I mean you could have (this time voiced by Daniel Craig and featuring the third person cover from Qunatum of Solace)

Thunderball (Where Quantum/spectre have a nuclear torpedo)
    3 levels
    1. Action Level In Jaque Bovair's house including a fist fight with Bovair
    2. Stealth level At Largo's Villa at night
    3. Action level on the boat

Diamonds Are Forever (Where Quantum\Spectre are smuggling diamonds)
    1. Stealth Level around Willard White's base (and I mean classic stealth no alarms can be raised)
    2. Car chase level around Vegas in a modern mustang
    3. Action Level in Willard Whites Casino
    4. Bonus level Texas Hold Em in Willard Whites Casino

The Man With the Golden Gun (Spectre/quantum send their best agent to kill 007)
    1. Car Chase in Bangkok (with an unlockable Aston Martin DB5 to replay the level in)
    2. Stealth level around High Fat's estate
    3. Stealth level around Scaramanga's funhouse

A View to a Kill (Max Zorin a former Spectre agent tries to monopolize on a man made earth quake)
    1. Stealth level around Zorin's estate
    2. Action Level in the Hall of records
    3. Boss level on the bridge

    Skyfall (part 2)
    1. Stealth level around Silva's Island
    2. Parkour Chase through London's tunnels
    3. Action level at Skyfall

Spectre (downloadable after the film comes out)
    1. Mexico City action level
    2. Rome Car Chase
    3. Stelth level around Oberhauser's Base (the one seen in the main trailer)

that would be fine! and improve upon the issues of 007 legends 1 (no Cover system Craig not voiceing his likeness to repetitive gameplay)

    Sigh

@Risico007, I wouldn't even want that. I never played '007 Legends,' but I watched the videos, and they seemed to mess up just about any and all scenes from the Bond films, as far as I could tell. Just give us another original story with some good gameplay, a great plot and features, and replayability, and I'll be happy.

This. Because games based on storylines will ultimately butcher iconic scenes and sequences from every plot written in the past by either Fleming or a continuation writer/screenwriter, adding additional action packed aspects for the advantage of a rich gameplay. Let's take From Russia With Love, for instance. Did Bond actually need to take control of a machinegun on a speedboat fighting Soviets/OCTOPUS agents under the grounds of Istanbul to reach the embassy? Was the jetpack from Thunderball ever needed? Sure, I won't deny it was fun, but it butchered the film. Everything 007 Legends did, as well as Activision's version of GoldenEye, was quite the same, in worse situation, turning everything into a worthless Call of Duty: Modern Warfare clone. Film tie-ins, as well as adaptations no longer work for the video games. What has to be demanded is originality. Blood Stone did it, and I am always aching to know what would have happened next...

Calvin Dyson just reviewed the QOS game a few days ago. Made me want to go buy it again. Got it for 3 dollars and it even came in that special edition steelbook case that came out when the game did. Forgot how fun that game was. Wish people were still playing the multiplayer. It's not the best Bond game ever but it's still really enjoyable. Makes me want another game more now...

Will probably replay Blood Stone and Goldeneye Reloaded after this

I made this 007 Legends 2 poster about a year or so ago. I didn't hate the game. But it wasn't very good though.

QOS multiplayer was fine .. I had some fun playing that game .. But after seeing and playing Batman games .. Im so jealous now .. Batman fans got what they need and even more .. With 4 excellent games on the last 5 years !!!! James Bond definitely need a developer like Rocksteady .. They even could get alot of money from those games if they were developed correctly.. James Bond games should fill the gaps between the movies .. Like between SKYFALL and SPECTRE we should've got two bond games :( :( :(

Getting 100,000 online credits for the last trophy in QoS was a right chore, especially as there was no counter.

IO (Hitman) could make a good Bond game...

all Ubisoft needs to do is ditch Splinter Cell - and take the same gameplay and apply it to a James Bond game... Splinter Cell/Sam Fisher isnt the same without Michael Ironside anyway lol.

I remember many years ago thinking about how cool it would be if a video game production company made a game that recaptured the magic of the great action scenes of the franchise, allowing players to revisit them.

    007 Legends killed that dream.

Ubisoft is another choice for sure :) .. They could easily do a great bond .. and we can guarantee that we could have bond games more frequently.. By now all the huge Movies franchises have video game :Star Wars, Batman , Marvel .. Bond the biggest franchise is still missing!!!!

I'm a strong advocate against Ubisoft getting the Bond license, because I'm sure that if they got the license, we'd see them doing to Bond what they do with Assassin's Creed, and we'd see one game a year with little improvement and a lackluster story. Ubisoft is no better than Activision in that regard, because Activision do it with COD and Ubisoft does it with Assassin's Creed.

No. Ubisoft doesn't deserve the Bond license. If Kojima Productions was still around, they would be my suggestion.
