RIP James Horner. Such a great film composer. I always wanted to see what he can do with a Bond score because his taste in scores is just so different. I wonder who Cameron will use now for the Avatar sequels?

Just heard on AMC that James Horner had passed away, tragic news too young. Since I was a kid loved Horner's work Krull, Wrath of Khan, Search for Spock and Aliens so much apart of my childhood listened to these scores thousands of times. One of the best up there with Williams, Goldsmith and Barry.

My apologies re: the Patrick Macnee thread. I assumed that coming from his website it was real. It appears it may have been a hoax and I find it awful that things like this can happen.

I'm surprised no one has brought up the death of the man dubbed as "the British Schindler" Sir Nicholas Winton. He died yesterday aged 106.

What a legend. RIP, Mr. Sharif.

That's his voice during the Sphinx lightshow in TSWLM, so technically he's Bond alumni.

Funnily enough I went to see that same lightshow in Egypt in 2009 and it still had his voice, added something for me.

Sharif would have made a great Ally or Villain for Bond.
