What a perfect TV spot. I haven't been this excited for a Bond film since Casino Royale.

So much mystery around the plot - the trailers have shown bits of scenes, but have managed to keep a lot of stuff hidden. The film looks absolutely gorgeous based on what we've seen so far.

The best 'Bond..James Bond' since Connery in Dr No. And I don't say these things lightly.

    I vehemently concur.

@antovolk Are you gonna do it in "Super HD" like you did the teaser? I loved that.

Given this TV spot is just a TV spot and not released theatrically, then no :( No surround sound or even good hi-res copy available.

Better copy of the new TV spot - the one on the 007 YouTube/social accounts has horrible frame blending:

Didn't see this TV spot coming! As far as I am aware Eon never suggested they were going to do this?

Macau Dejavu a bit with the traffic road shot from Italy. So i hope there not using CGI like there did with Skyfall, but the real thing this time. With 20th anniversary of Goldeneye, there whant to do something with that but i think showing shot of Daniel Craig in airplane and shot airplane after that should be enough.

I had no problem with the Teaser very intriguing despite some wanting more but this TV spot certainly teases some great action and that "Bond.. James Bond" from Craig is his best yet and probably one of the all time best of the series.

    A few observations:

-Bond is depicted more like a seducer, as you first see him getting closer to the character of Léa Seydoux, then Monica Bellucci's.

-There is a beautiful feeling of danger coming from that scene between Bond and Lucia Sciarra: she is warning him about imminent danger... which does not stop him from coming at her.

-The classic line: "Bond, James Bond" delivered by Craig here is the best in a long time.

This shot looks like it could be straight out of a 60's Bond film.

Interesting - so wasn't that DC flying off the upper balcony with some assistance?
Seeing MB standing with her hair over her face in the mirror, has DC pulled her hair back behind her as he pulls/pushes her and get's up close for the BJB?

No I've not read any spoilers or leaks so just reacting to the TV spot and wondering out loud! :D

    It's quintessential Bond. Perfect.

Can someone with the techno abilities combine the two trailers? That would be epic!

Is there any chance of some 1080p screencaps?

If anyone does do screenshots - make sure use the Sony and not the 007 upload.

It's not really a spoiler, only speculation but:
Bond jumping out of the window to reach his Aston Martin, Goldeneye reference?

I've also noticed similarities with Goldeneye.
The Austria plane sequence bears a resemblance to the tank chase in Goldeneye. Bond girl gets Kidnapped, and Bond chases them with an outlandish vehicle. Even this still from the spot looks like the shot of Natalia after she first sees Bond in the tank.

Everything about SPECTRE, from its title to its locations to its cinematography, screams "classic 1960s/early 70s Bond." I, for one, am delighted about this.

As someone mentioned earlier, the only wild card here is Thomas Newman. He seemed awfully hesitant to use the Bond theme in SF, but this strikes me as the kind of Bond film that absolutely demands it.

Agreed. My biggest issue with Skyfall was the score. I really enjoyed Arnold's work on CR & QoS. Not much Bond theme, but when it was used it was smart. And CR really used the You Know My Name riff well. Nothing about Skyfall's score struck me as interesting - just really by the numbers. I hope we get a healthy dose of the Bond theme in SPECTRE.

The problem with Newman imo is that his sound is largely mood music. A Bond film needs more than that.
