A couple of favourite fights, the as mentioned Bond and Grant on the train in FRWL,
The stairwell fight in CR, and Bond v Trevelyan in GE. Great fights that look like a couple of blokes out to beat the crap out of each other.

I really can't understand what people are talking about when they argue about George Lazenby being a wooden, emotionless James Bond, an impostor.

OHMSS wouldn't be such a GREAT movie without it's lead actor being less than very good. From the first scene to the last, he delivers a solid performance, waaayyy better than some of Sean Connery or Pierce Brosnan.

All things being as they are, OHMSS would not have become one the best, if not the very best film of the franchise, without Lazenby. Just imagine OHMSS with a bored Connery.

It's a shame Lazenby wasn't around for more.

I too think Lazenby did a great job.

I agree @JohnBarryFan. I saw OHMSS recently and my qualms with the film do not have to do with Lazenby. He was very good in it and was able to humanize Bond without letting his portrayal drift into sappiness. That was a very difficult feat to pull off, especially for someone who's career was in male modeling.

It's amazing he actually got the part after Connery for such a prestigious role given his career, but that was the 60's I suppose. Here's a quote from Peter Hunt that sums it up:

'"We wanted someone who oozed sexual assurance, and we think this fellow has that. Just wait til the women see him on screen ... I am not saying he is an actor. There is a great deal of difference between an actor and a film star. Didn't they find Gary Cooper when he was an electrician
    ?"

Anyway I agree with you. He was great in the movie and I would have preferred him for DAF, given Connery's obvious boredom in that movie.

Pierce Brosnan was awesome in GE & TND, he was excellent in TWINE, and he rocked the shaky casbah in DAD. We were lucky to have him for the time we did, as we were Connery in the 60's and Dalton in the 80's. =D>

One of my favourite moments EVER in a Bond movie is when Pierce was setting the explosive in GE and a bullet winged the post he was up against near his head, and he just reacted to the impact but stayed focused on the job at hand. Pure effin' brilliance.

I must admit that's a great gag, makes me smile every time. Great direction by Martin Campbell.

One of my favorite bits, too, @chrisisall. And no, not at all a gag.
Just cool. Brosnan was a very cool Bond.

Brosnan was a very cool Bond.
"You were good with those guards."
"It comes from growing up in a rough neighborhood. You were good on that bike."
"It comes from never growing up at all."
    Brilliant. I love it.

I love all the Ken Adam sets. Especially the big volcano.

I love Sean Bean. As Trevelyan ... as anything. Oh yes. 8->

I love Judi Dench and hope her eyesight improves. I admire her whole career, but I also appreciate and respect her as a person, what I have learned about her (granted I do not know much, but all I have read is pretty darn good).

Why TND is my third favourite Bond Movie:
Okay, Brosnan plays a total hero Bond, not usually my favourite kind, but he is conflicted a bit by Paris' involvement, and he goes pretty dark for a moment dispatching Carver...
But what I really like is "We'll finish this together." The music as Bond Kisses breath into Wai Lin's mouth.
Yep, dopey romantic, guilty as charged. :))

As this is a thread about "love", I don't hate DAF, but do feel it has
More in common with the Derek Flint films. :D
Luckily for me, I'm very fond of the Flint films ! :)

I love DAF, especially the dream sequence.

According to you, the whole film is a dream.
I don't know if this is the right place but here it goes:

I often dream there were 1 or 2 Timothy Dalton Bond movies released some years ago and I didn't see them. That's make me mad as hell.

As luck would have it, I find a theater where the movie is still playing and I go.
Believe it or not, what little I can watch of the movie before I wake is ALWAYS excellent!
