Not sure what I missed since my post from this morning has gone but I'll repost it.

I don't think counting Craig is fair because he's doing the next film, so we know the end of SF aren't his final moments.

I think Lazenby's is definitely the best. The only moment in the series that makes me genuinely sad.

GL with Tracy for me too. Genuinely moving and very sad indeed.

Yes, I too have cried at the end of OHMSS - it's so powerfully done.

I'm jealous of Roger. He didn't go with a bang bang but with some boom boom. Leave it to Rog to kiss us goodbye with a hot blonde in the shower. Of course Sean went there too, more or less, albeit in a pool, in NSNA. ;-) As for GL, here's an ending I have issues with! No no, not with the scene, but with the fact of this being the last we'll see of both George and the Tracy story line. This shouldn't have been an ending though, it should have been a beginning.

I like the ending of LTK, but here too, it shouldn't have been an ending.

No, I did not like the ending of Brosnan's tenure.

And SF's ending isn't a career stop so I won't comment on that.

This is a different topic but looks at the actor's final lines, if you're interested:

I'd probably choose Lazzer's last moment, if only for its significance. However, Dalton and Pam in the pool gets me every time. I think it's the winking fish I have a soft spot for.

So why don't you ask me? ;;)

I'd go with Lazenby's too, but agree that it's a little frustrating considering it shouldn't have been an ending.

My fav would be Dalton's - minus the winking fish. I love the line and I enjoy Bond and Pam together.

Honorable mention to Roger, as it is just so perfect he ends up in the shower with a hot babe, keeping his British end up to the very end, so to speak. ;)

Those ceramic fish had rotating 'winking' eyes as water pumped into the pools. Or so I believe. ;)

Dalton's final scene was my favorite out of all of their final scenes as well. The bit with him jumping from the balcony into the pool was a clever idea and Michael Kamen's "Pam" track was a beautiful piano piece that really helped make the scene and was a good transition into "If You Asked Me To". Plus, as they had been for the entire film, Dalton and Lowell were fantastic.

Yes they were terrific, and I expect no less coming from someone who has a username like yours. ;)

George, obviously. Just an iconic scene. I love Tim's, but t always gets me depressed knowing he'll never be Bond again. I can never get that out of my head watching the end of LTK. The others had pretty lame endings, and Dan isn't done yet. SF did have a badass ending, though.

It's the same with all the Bonds.

Yes, but I find all the others to be dull and/or cringeworthy. Bond with Kissy is passable, but bloated Connery with the forgettable Tiffany Case is not. Moore with Stacy makes me physically ill, and I find Jinx highly annoying.

"I'll give you a little soap here...give you a little soap there...ooo drat...I dropped the soap"
"I'll get it" (yelps and giggles)
    "THAT is not the soap"

Hmm...maybe Brosnan's last scene wasn't that bad after all :-?

True, but it just suited Roger's Bond so well, didn't it? ;)
He was Mr. Effortless Charm, Smooth with the Ladies ...
(barring the annoying Stacey, just enjoying it as a fitting ending for Roger)

I don't find Roger's ending to be fitting at all. For Fleming's sake, the man is in a shower with a girl young enough to be his bloody daughter. I think Bond even mentions that to Stacey in the course of the film-or maybe I am thinking of his talk with Dahl in FYEO. Either way, both are creepy and just shameful...

Roger's Bond should have kept it in his pants and taken both of the girls to get ice cream, his treat.

Lazenby's final scene was great, but it did leave the audience with the feeling that there was more to come in regards to the Tracy murder arch. And Dalton had a good final scene as well, it ended the film on a high note (minus the winking fish). The only problem with this; is that in most cases, it was not known that the final scene would be the last time that actor would be Bond. With the exception of You Only Live Twice, the producers thought another film with the current actor might be possible. It even states on the blu rays that they tried to convince Connery to do Live and Let Die. I think if they knew when filming each of the actors last scene , that it would be the actors final performance as Bond, they would have been given a better send off. But what's done is done.

To me it's not so much that they got together but that it could have and should have been shown in a much more dignified manner.

Isn't Stacy in her late 40's now? He was about 60 then it must have been awkward for her but great for him. Grace Jones (Mayday) is 64 now and as I said he was about 60 then , then again AVTAK is a great film and end's on a high and Timmy starts on a high just when he turns around and you see him for the first time.

Some of the bond endings have been questionable to say the least. I never liked the Dalton 'winking fish' in License to Kill. It's like, after all that grittiness and hard edged action and violence, hitherto unseen in James Bond before, they decide to include an ill-advised slice of humor into it. I never did get used to it, and wished they'd left the damn thing out of things

Five favorite endings would be, but I couldn't place them into order right now -

    # Diamonds are Forever

    # The Living Daylights - 'we had some trouble at the airport' etc

    # The Spy Who Loved Me

    # Casino Royale

    # Thunderball
