Bottom line, before you whip out the put down list (your credibility is gone/how old are you/you're clearly daft/good taste isn't among your attributes), remember, somewhere in your closet lurks a movie that you like and many others do not, and that it doesn't mean you're an idiot for liking it, okay? I've heard reasoned arguments for liking Howard The Duck (not joking) that make sense.

Just a treat those how we wish to be treated thing. :)>-

Howard the Duck is pretty terrible, but Jeffrey Jones was just so darn entertaining in it. "She took my eggs."

Seriously, I can't point out a single plot hole in Bourne Identity through Bourne Supremacy. Why? Because I just don't care enough to give any of them a second look. We pick on stuff in movies WE WATCH & LIKE.

Exactly. I'm a fan of James Bond, I do reviews and stuff, but I could imagine doing that for a an ordinary movie. I know the Bond films inside and out, thus I can pick out the things that I enjoy, and things I'm not to keen on. With other movies I don't have the inclination, to do that.

Now then, I'm not a fan of the overt humour, so prevalent during 71-87, but no Bond film has failed to entertain me.

    * Oh, by the way, most of Brosnan's "Pain Faces" TM, was due to him being strangled; I doubt if you could look "normal" when being strangled. ;-)

  • If you're a fan of the original cinematic Casino Royale you must be pretty daft. I'm by no means a fan but have it in my collection and do occasionally force myself to watch it. It does have some rare great moments of silly but good humour but on the whole it is a bloated incoherent mess.

Last time I checked he wasn't being strangled during the TWINE Thames chase, when Xenia was attacking him, when he hung from the ladder at the end of GE, when Natalya was comforting him at the end in the field, when he falls on his arm at the end of the PTS for TWINE, when Renard grabs his injured shoulder in the facility, or when he jumps from the dock in TWINE.

    But, I kid. ;)

On a side note, Pierce's Bond sure does get strangled a lot, doesn't he? It's a good think he doesn't choke under pressure.

You have to admit, as a one-off it was pretty funny.

From the perspective of someone who has been called "The Brady Bunch" or any derivative of such a saying, it is about as original as a textbook plagiarist. On a Roger Moore Bond scale of hilarity it is a solid 1 out of 10 (and I am being generous); that isn't even enough to raise Sir Roger's eyebrow even a little bit.

Sorry sir, from THAT POV it's not so amusing.
Forgive me for snickering a bit.

I will try to stay on point or what I deemed this discussion to be about.

"If you're a fan of ______you're clearly daft"
    1. No country for old men
    2. Kim Kardashian
    3. DAD
    4. Juno
    5. The final two seasons of "Lost"
    6. Purvis and Wade

I like this idea. In no particular order, here's a long list.

    1) John Terry

    2) Ryan Air

    3) Those essex idiots

    4) Katie Price/Kerry whatserface, etc. You know the type I mean.

    5) Ashley Cole (it's easier to just say Chelsea in general actually)

    6) Every song in the UK top 40 right now (can't be arsed checking but I'd bet good money that at least 90% of it is sh*te)

    7) The crap "comedies" BBC 3 churn out (excluding the odd bit of good stuff such as Little Britain, Him and Her, etc)

    8) @TouchMyButtons/@Dressed_2_Kill/@sexpoinage, you know who I mean, I'm not typing all his accounts out for you

    9) Racism

    10) homophobia

    11) sexism

    12) Those cars with eyelashes (had to work on one the other day, I honestly felt like refusing to give the woman service)

    13) 007 Legends

    14) Die Another Day (well, some of it, I think the first half is quite good up until Jinx appears and even after that the fencing was good)

    15) Aliens Colonial Marines

    16) Those Harlem Shake videos that are all over Youtube

    17) Hipsters

    18) Rocky V

    Might carry this on later.

I'm not sure if I even know what Harlem Shake is, and I'm perfectly okay with that.

No, no, no... that's just so wrong. Do they use mascara when the plastic begins to degrade from weather conditions? Shadow over the hub next? Lipstick on the lower grill?
    Herbie would be thrilled.

Actually the VW Beetle is a "ladies car". I only see women driving them so the eyelashes are spot on. I apologize if I offend any men who drive ...{these} cars.....

I myself would not be caught dead in one of these "things."
