    Good thing is - more and more fine talent is dran into Bond and after this, they will even make a longer queue. There is more trust, they will not be wasted in a crappy film. But like QOS showed, it can always go wrong. But the chance for something good was never higher in the newer times.

    Agreed! Also M explains why she gave Silva up, he created his own mess. On another note, I seem to recall M giving up Bond in DAD so, this isn't exactly surprising.

    I don't feel that SF is the best Bond film ever, but after sleeping on it, I like the film a whole lot more than I thought I did last night.

    In my personal opinion, Skyfall is not the best "Bond film" ever. That would probably be From Russia With Love. But at the same time, I do think Skyfall is the best film among the Bond franchise.

    I'd say that the situation is similar to that of Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy. Nolan created three great films that just so happened to star a cast of characters that originated from a comic book series, whereas his predecessors in the Batman franchise made "superhero movies" instead.

    This is the Bond movie I've been dreaming about since I was 12 and I read TMWTGG.

    I'd say that it's the most overrated Bond movie ever. Surely there are others who feel this way? I mean it was a good movie don't get me wrong, but it was not as good as Casino Royale, and I still think that Sean's first four (DN, FRWL, GF, TB) are all unbeatable.

    Don't worry you are not alone in feeling that way about SF.
    Nowhere near as good as CR as you say and how people think it is a better BOND movie than any Connery, OHMSS, LALD,TSWLM,FYEO or TLD is beyond me.

    Nah. I'd put LTK, TLD, GE, TSWLM, OHMSS, YOLT and maybe FRWL and TWINE above it.
