That's a unique item for the collection. I'd love to have the FYEO Univex one.

Thats the cheapest place online aswell. I think these will go fairly quick.

I love your mug, it's fantastic. Did you buy it or make it yourself? Oh, and be careful with the double posts, remember. :)

I know this isnt skyfall related, but just thought i would post it. This is what hangs from my bedroom wall.

I saw this and the DBS version of the motorised cars in a local shop yesterday. OMG, how tacky. They even make the same sounds. Very poor.

I actually quite like the "lights and sounds" cars. There is something cheerful about a model car that plays the James Bond theme while flashing it's lights in time to the tune! I got the "slightly larger than 36" scale QOS Aston Martin DBS for a tenner at the weekend. I think I'd like the matching DB5 and Lotus.

Wasn't Corgi going to do "lights and sounds" cars a few years ago?

They also sell a 1/72 kit here in the Netherlands, complete with 3 figures including a gunner :D

Finaly some Skyfall merchendise with buying that Watch Magazine. I also spotted in a drogist the 30ml (€ 17,99) and 60ml (€ 25,99) parfum and the Jell (€ 8,99). But the Deo spray whasn't there, the only one i consider to buy and from those others i only whant to spotted those to see how it look like.

Next step is to spot and buy a Coca Cola thing and mabey a Heineken botle.

I hesitated to post in the "product placement" thread, but here there were the bus photos so...

So here is the photo of the "giant" Omega/Skyfall poster currently in the center of Paris (alas in bad quality, I didn't have my true camera, it's only an Iphone, not good with the low light). It's one of these posters that helps to hide the work in progress when a building is being renovated, the idea that the money of the ad goes into the work there.

But here, the place is quite exceptional, it's what the tourist come to see on the boats on the Seine. There's nothing similar in this protected touristic zone. Even myself I found it is a bit "too much" to have this unique poster there, usually they would rather promote a museum, or jewelry, I'm pretty sure it's the first time I see a movie promotion like this.

  • I ordered the large RC DB5, the small RC Lotus and standard electronic Lotus last night. RC Lotus is my dream toy ever since I got my Corgi one back when the film came out. I have been looking for an RC Jet Ranger helicopter. Found one on Amazon, tempted to buy it and repaint it in Naomis livery and make a youtube recreation of the chase!
I looked at the RC DAF Mustang linked earlier and its got a remote controled two wheel stunt feature. Looks like it can go on two wheel like in the film and also do a wheelie. Its a bit pricey though at £50 and Amazon is the only place selling it. I think its going to become a real collectors piece and I might order it when I get paid. Just wish I could see some videos of it but there is so little info out there on these cars other than the DB5

I didn't see this higher up the thread so apologies if it's already been posted. Anyway, I just got GQ magazine in Tesco with a free paperback of Goldfinger.

Apparently GQ has done a cover with each Bond actor. The shop only had Daniel Craig otherwise I would have gone for the Timster.

I'm not sure if this fits this thread (not sure where it fits, honestly) but here's a Bond Cake sent to Into the gloss, a famous beauty/fashion blog. The cake resembled the shape of the Bond fragrance.

My contact at the local cinema has told me that I or any of the colleagues that work there can not take the standees or any promo items in relation to Skyfall when it is over ??
They all have to be sent back to the supplier.
Yet another sign of 2 finger salute to the fans out there by EON

That's really strange. I got told the same by the woman behind the counter at our local cinema, so I rang someone at Sony on speaker, and asked it the stuff really did need to get sent back to them. She said ater the promotion time agreed they can do with it whatever they want. She didn't know what to say after that ;)

    Well, that's a neat trick.

I've heard that one countless times at cinema's DVD stores, malls etc. So I just mailed the people responsible for the product once and they told me it was not true. Over the last 4 years I lost the advantage of being a cute little boy asking for it, but I gained some numbers of PR-contacts etc. who are responsible for such things ;)

Fair play to you - do not know where I would put a 6ft skyfall standee, but it is worth a shot

I usually don't bother with the huge posters and standees for the cinema halls etc, but I have managed to get 3 DVD standee's from Quantum and some small stuff from Casino.
  • Stores in my area are always kind enough to give me their poster, I even got a From Russia With Love poster that was hanging in the back of some toy store a couple of years ago (this one: http://www.morbidmonster.com/scart/images/02-From Russia-Quad.jpg)
My local cinema switches their views about once a month: Sometimes they are willing to give me posters (for instance: The Expendables poster), other times, they refuse. I was at the counter once, and one employee said to the other that the 'Dark Knight Rises' posters would be divided between the employees, so I guess that's what they mean with 'we got to sent them back'
  • My Skyfall soundtrack has been dispatched, seems way too early, can't wait to hear some non Arnold new Bondo music for once.
