I think Moore and Brosnan were two most established actors for the role when they were hired.

    Yes, and primarily television actors.

With good careers in the tv.

Why wouldn't someone be genuine about their opinion on an actor's talent? Do you think he owes 007HallY money or something? :P

It's not "an actor's talent" that I'm questioning. I was taking issue with something else 007HallY claimed.

Seems a bit strange, watching an episode of a TV show in another country is far from impossible. 007HallY is one of the nicest folk on here, I don't think there's any reason to suspect untruths, especially as there would be absolutely no reason for it.

Thanks. That was quite sweet :))

I can fully accept incidentally I can be very opinionated about Bond and these actors online. Being stuck at a computer for chunks of my work during the week needs its distractions ;) and let's be honest, the anonymity of the internet can probably bring out people's critical nature. Anyway, I'll duck out of this conversation.

You’re welcome. In this forum we all want to be more like Bond, but end more like “Mean Girls”. Some of our choices are a little ‘fetch’, but that’s just the way it is.

On a more technical subject: could management check the hamster wheel that powers this forum, I believe there may be a dead hamster on it. Things seem a little… sluggish.

Yeah it's really broken isn't it. Been like this for a couple of weeks. I tried mentioning it in the feedback section but :-??

As I said earlier, I've taken this matter private to avoid derailing the thread and turning this into a big thing. I've messaged any doubts I have to 007HallY which are not all about VPNs. I won't be commenting again.

I had a quick look and found this Reddit thread about the new Lynley, not many positive words being said about Suter, quite the opposite in a few cases. I don't think he's blowing anyone away:

Whilst it’s not a crime yourself and @007Haly seem hellbent on Bond not being Suter.

Personal vendetta. Clearly blinded by inconsolable rage ;)

I actually accept I’ve probably gone a bit hard bashing an actor I have nothing against but whose work I don’t like. For what it’s worth though I have genuinely seen the first episode and don’t have fully negative things to say! Anyway, I’ll rein it in. Promise, haha.

I do find it interesting that two of the most discussed people on here ended up being heavily rumoured; ATJ and Callum. While I would love it to be Callum Turner, and it's interesting to think how far we've come since I first suggested, I'm hedging my bets.

I do think that Callum is a good match with Denis' directing and Steven Knight's writing though.

As I’ve said, if Turner is chosen I will raise a glass to you, the board’s Nostradamus… 🍷

Yes, I've been a prominent Leo Suter supporter on this forum, but I don't think @007HallY has some hidden agenda on here, Some people just don't like a certain actor which is perfectly fine. I can't stand Elordi, but I promise i'm not his supervillain foster brother :D

There is an actor named Tom Sharp who I've just thought of. He's going to star in an upcoming fantasy series "The Pendragon Cycle" He might be good. He looks the part and from the trailers for the series, he'll have a major role.
