I could see Turner as Bond, although he wouldn't be my first choice. Elordi just strikes me as too odd to really nail Bond.

My first choice is still Leo Suter.

Suter is my top choice for the role, but I do think he needs a Guy Richie film or a prime time BBC drama to show his potential as Bond.

Oh please, I’ve watched several interviews and he is far from being an “ airhead “ .

I need to watch it fully, but from what I've heard from a mate who's watched it and clips I'm still very sceptical about how good a screen actor he is. He's not an 'airhead' for what it's worth (in fact he seems like a nice chap and quite smart). But honestly, I'm not convinced he's up to playing Bond onscreen, and doesn't quite have the right presence. Absolutely happy to be proven wrong though.

I think he has tremendous potential but I’m absolutely aware that he could fall flat during the casting process including screentests.

Oh yeah. I mean, this is out of our perception entirely. Personally, I just don't see enough there to fill the big screen as Bond, or even a lot of other roles, but as I said I'm willing to be proven wrong, and would be happy if it came in exchange of a James Bond I enjoy. I'll certainly be looking out for the next couple of films he's in.

His voice is very good though, and I genuinely believe he'd be good in a video game or audio adaptation. A bit like how I don't think Toby Stephens would have been the best option for Bond but excelled in that area.

Nowadays Toby Stephens would make a great Bond villain. He looks far more menacing mature than he was in DAD. He'd make a great Drax now, ironically enough.

He has the looks. I don't think it's enough but who knows. Lynley might be his Remington Steele.

    Needs a better haircut! 😂

In his defense, this one suits the character of Lynley

Suter has the height, the physique and the voice and Vikings Valhalla showed that he's adept at the physical, action stuff. He absolutely should be in there for a screentest. The one and only thing that gives me pause about Suter is that he just looks so darn nice and pleasant without the beard. I always liked Viv Michel's initial impression of Bond in TSWLM, where he actually looks dangerous and for a moment she's not sure if he's a villain or the guy who's going to save her from the villains. Connery, Dalton and Craig all projected that. Someone like Jason Isaacs would've had it too and it's something I'd like to see carried over with the new guy. Still, it's a small element and Brosnan and Sir Rog were successful Bonds without it, so I guess it's a 'desirable' not an 'essential.' Anyway, yes, agreed - Suter definitely deserves to be in the mix.

I hope several actors run a rigorous casting gauntlet, one that test for every aspect of the character; with one clearly rising to the top.

    Who play Bond ?
Lots of choices but it depend on what the studio wants to do with Bond.
Cavill was excellent in Mission impossible as the bad guy, Aaron Taylor Johnson was good in Bullet Train.,again a bad guy, Hardy, Stevens, Norton, Turner, even rumours the guy who playing the new Frankenstein monster .
There are other possibles Ed Skrein, Nicholas Hoult but my choice would be Mathew Goode

That might favor Cavill, if the planned Highlander film gets made...(he's cast in the protagonist part, and Dave Bautista as the primary antagonist <-- tough to replace Clancy Brown in that part !

'A Texan should not play James Bond': Actor
    shuts down 007 rumor
A James Bond from Texas just does not make any sense whatsoever.

The iconic James Bond franchise is in a transitional period. Amazon recently purchased the franchise from longtime caretakers of the intellectual property, the Broccoli family (yes, Broccoli). But now, the company is seeking its new agent 007 for the next iteration of the classic character. There are rumours of outside-the-box thinking around the next Bond—the first woman Bond, or first Bond as a person of color, or even a Bond born in Austin, Texas. Yes, for some reason, Glen Powell was asked if he wanted to play the British icon.

Click bait at it’s worst @RichardTheBruce

Powell might be an interesting choice for Felix Leiter. But he may overshadow the actor playing Bond.
I’m not sure he’s that good an actor. He’s very likeable. But I feel he may have limited range.
