It’s quite funny how they often didn’t get messed around with in the edit, just dropped in and out, but usually keeping the timing Barry had established.
The only one I couldn’t quite figure is the Jaws Lends a Hand: does that play on directly from Reunited? I couldn’t quite work out where it’s cued in. Also, how do you guys think Globes Destroyed was supposed to play out? It mostly fits but seems to end before the climactic moment, was the picture re-edited after the score you think?
Really hope GE is just getting a delayed 30th anniversary expanded CD. Not liking we haven’t heard anything of it.
I'm a little concerned as well. GE and AVTAK are the two expansions I've been wanting most after OP and MR's expansions released.
You ought to be looking at Black Friday, that is late November. That's when announcements tend to happen.
The only thing I could see potentially getting in the way would be the Amazon switchover.
It honestly baffles me when people say, “You gave us this. Great! Now give us more!” In the past three years, we’ve seen more Bond score releases than ever before. If La-La Land chooses to continue, wonderful. But if they decide to take a well-earned break, good heavens, let them.
How so? These Bond scores certainly cannot harm the popularity of Bond.
I think we’re at risk of overestimating the significance of film scores within the vast landscape of cinema. The Bond soundtrack releases appeal to a very small, niche audience at best; most people neither know nor care about them. The vast majority of viewers that the studio hopes to attract for Bond 26 have zero interest in owning a film score. And Amazon most likely isn’t concerned about selling a few thousand copies of albums from thirty years ago, either.
What's a priority for one team may not be for a new one taking over. When you get a change of management it's not unusual for a campaign from the previous one to get canned, or just lost in the mix-up. Regardless, Mr B has hinted elsewhere that they're continuing so it doesn't seem that there's anything to worry about.
