Just want to mention I'm ready to start whenever she is.

If she's going to be Jane Bond she won't need a man. She can (of course) do it all on her own. ;)

I don't get the appeal of Sweeney - well, I do, in that she is young, blonde, and has a notable figure. But acting wise, everything I have seen her in has been relatively uninteresting. Her glossy eyed, monotone delivery doesn't do much, and she doesn't have that much of a box office success as a leading lady. Outside of Anyone but You, I'd struggle to point to something which has been successful with her in it, let alone because she was in it.

Maybe I'm in the minority, but there are loads of much better choices than her.

I’m not enamoured of her either, but she was in big tv shows like Euphoria and The White Lotus. She is a rising star that seems to appeal to the younger demographic. It’s possible that Amazon might prize name recognition to the Gen Z demo over anything else.

Sydney Sweeney is perfect for a comedic Bond girl role, sort of like Christmas Jones done right. Plus she's absolutely stunning. :x

I'd rather see Sweeney in the proposed remake of 'Barbarella ' by your friend Edgar Wright! 🙂

Someone's got to hold the Aston door open.

Well, that's true. Who says men are obsolete? :D

David Michods new movie about the female boxer Christie Martin stars Sydney Sweeney, and there's already awards season buzz for her performance.

Sweeney is such a generic choice for the Bond girl. Just like casting Zendaya or Florence Pugh. These are actors you already see everywhere. I hope Villeneuve and the casting director's choices are a bit more adventurous like BR2049 -- Ana de Armas, Mackenzie Davis and Sylvia Hoeks were scene stealers in their respective roles and they weren't huge stars at that moment.

I absolutely don't get the appeal to Sidney Sweeney, haven't seen a more boring and, tbh, plain old unatractive girl get so much praise in years. She ticks the 'beautiful' boxes as much as any AI girl does. She has nothing and is as un-Fleming-esque as possible.

I also don't get the Sweeney craze.

Emma Mackey would be an interesting choice to me.

Sweeney is a good looking girl, but I don’t think she has a huge range. Depends on the film they make.

Exactly if it's a homegrown American gal in the Christmas Jones or Tanya Roberts mode, then she would be perfect.

Something I've noticed is how all the Bond girls are played so seriously nowadays.

Emma Mackey is French by birth, but might be considered English in her acting background.
She’s also appeared in US productions so is multi talented.

Box office clout has never been a prerequisite for Bond Girls (or the Bond actors), so that shouldn't stop Sydney Sweeney being cast. I'd prefer to see Anya Taylor-Joy as a Bond Girl, but I wouldn't complain if it went to Sydney Sweeney.

I don't get how yoiu can put those tow in the same category. Emma Mackey would be an amazing choice. She can act, she's actually gorgeous.......

They’re both gorgeous…but one of them could play a credible Bond girl.
Thanks for the vote of confidence mate.

Opinions aside - great casting depends on chemistry.

A trip on YouTube made me discover Joey King, in a few extracts of her movie The Princess, including her final fight with Olga Kurylenko. As an action girl, she's not half bad.

according to screenrant Jeff Bezos is very interested in seeing Sydney Sweeney in the Bond movie, apparently they are friends and she attended his wedding. Also her statements appear odd like she knows more than she is letting on, but that doesn't necessarily mean she is in talks for the film.
