    We're getting off topic here.

My money for the next Bond villain is still Cillian Murphy. Not that he'd be my first choice, but if they go for the same casting choices of villains from the mid to late Craig era (they might not), I think he just might be their first choice.

What ? Isn't there a law stating that no one who played a villain in a Batman movie may portray a hero in a Bond film ?

Not sure I understand the sense of your joke. Do you mean it's likely Murphy will play the villain or it's unlikely he will?

The horrible thought at the back of my mind is the next villain will be played by Jared Leto...

I mean, it's happened before in a Villeneuve film... and it was awful.

Surely by now Hollywood is getting the message about Leto?

The Bond movies might miscast a famed and respected actor, but surely Leto doesn't fit that category.

You'd think, right? And yet Leto still seems to be working.

The guy must know something incriminating about some big producer somewhere... I don't see any other reason why he'd continue to get cast putting in some of the performances he's done (and that's not even mentioning sexual harassment allegations).

It's actually mad. For an actor with such an unsettling presence during interviews he's rubbish at playing villains.

Anyway, looking forward to seeing him in the next Bond film I guess... maybe.

Jared Leto is box office poison.
Almost guaranteed to help a film bomb.

Well there's the part of his treatment of young women, potential exploitation of a minor, and his cultish-group leadership over followers. Talent does not excuse problematic behavior and you have to admit his talent clearly does not drive audiences to see him in theaters! So why defend him?
