I think the term “allies” is more applicable. You’re kind of conflating things by calling them friends/buddies. That’s like saying Obi-Wan and 3PO were buddies.

Even the fact that they knew eachother at all is hilariously outlandish. And BTW Yoda does say "goodbye Chewbacca" like he is talking to an old friend.

He says the other wookie’s name too, so I guess he’s close pals with him too?

I alwayss think the smallest ‘world’ is Spider Man, where he always happens to know his costumed villains in his personal life as Peter Parker before they turn evil. Star Wars isn’t so bad really.

Yes, you're right only 1 of the 2 wookies he's standing with ends up coincidentally being important in the destruction of the very empire that Yoda himself failed to prevent from rising, I guess thats not strange in the least then. 8-|

You're making a big deal out of nothing. Like how you tend to panic about a Bond movie coming out one year more than expected.

As far as small world syndrome goes, it’s not egregious like 3PO turning out to have been made by the future Darth Vader.

Yeah, watching Rogue One after Andor, June Erso is a really quite annoying character whose arc doesn’t really feel genuine.

I think Count Dooku should definitely make the list, he bested Obi Wan Anakin and Yoda in combat and trained Qui Gon.

I don't think he was a great character as such, but he was played by Christopher Lee and had a memorable name, so in terms of SW characters I agree that he has enough there to be in the top 50.
Moff Gideon is in there I see, and he's only memorable (and I'd say less memorable) because he's played by Giancarlo Esposito, so a Lee baddie should definitely be in there.

I just saw it's an Empire article, they really need to get over Star Wars! (They got number 1 right though)
