It looks better than the second one.

Yeah, I thought KNIVES OUT managed to coast by on de Armas's charm and Craig's engagingly nutty performance, despite the revelation of the killer being a big wet fart.

I couldn't even sit through GLASS ONION. Absolutely unwatchable.

Glass Onion was a celebrity brunch party that had cameras and a script floating around sometimes. Horrible film.

I think what made the cast of Knives Out so good was the cast was stacked with talent and they all had great chemistry.

Daniel, Ana and Chris Evans really shone in that film

I really enjoyed both Knives Out mysteries actually – more so than any of his Bond films from QoS onwards! Really looking forward to Wake Up Dead Man.

I wonder if these "Paul is Dead" references are on purpose?

Glass Onion is - to me - a fascinating Covid artifact that doesn't stand up on it's own without that context. (I still enjoy it though, because I just enjoy Craig's Blanc so much).

Supposedly - and I'm trying to stay away from as much content about this film as possible - this new one is a return to the form of the first one. I'm very excited. I still don't know if I'll get the chance to see it in a theatre here in Germany, but I'm looking forward to it either way.

It seems the film is a bit like FRWL - the novel - and Blanc only shows up half an hour in or something, which is fine, it gives the character proper weight, IMO.

It's suprising to see Daniel sign up for a trilogy of films right after Bond.

There was an urban myth that Paul McCartney died, the Beatles dropped subtle clues in there albums. Rian Johnson referenced the Beatles with Glass Union (name of a Beatles song).

Ah! Thank you @Fire_and_Ice_Returns, I wasn't aware of that.

What’s the link to the ‘Paul is dead’ thing though?
The films are all named after song titles: songs by Radiohead, the Beatles, and (by the seems of it) U2 respectively.

You summed up that film perfectly..

Sorry to revive old stuff but I remember there was a Heineken spot for No Time to Die which is considerably longer than the one you can find on YT. Though I can't find it anywhere. Anyone has it?

Was it this one mate? I think they filmed this before NTTD, but they used it to promote the film

Yep was this one but there was a longer mini film like 7 minutes long. I can't find it anywhere

Sorry mate. I do remember that longer advert vaguely, I don't think it had any more scenes with Bond in it though did it?

While I loved the Craig era (except QoS worst Bond film of all time) I felt like there was no middle to his story arc. You had the beginning of Bonds career with CR and QoS then they immediately went right to the end of his career with SF, SP, NTTD. If there was a movie in between QoS and SF that showed Bond in the prime of his career not nearing the end or being burned out then I felt the story arc would have made more sense.

I don't think the producers really thought it through as to a story arc.

The idea to have Bond a washed up wreck in SF was an odd one 3 films in, but it suited the story they wanted to do.

SP tried to tie all the previous films together with Blofeld being behind everything, which was a ridiculously contrived concept. NTTD at least followed on logically from SP as a story arc.

Personally i think QoS is a cracking Bond film..

There is no story arc and for them to claim there is one and always was is them imposing one retrospectively in Spectre (really badly imo).

I guess you could argue Bloodstone (the game) is that middle in between QoS and SF, but the video games arent considered canonical.

Bloodstone is often actually considered canon to the DC timeline. It's impended that Nicole was killed by Blofeld with that drone. I'd also consider Goldeneye Reloaded as canon to his timeline as well. It could be one of the main reasons to lead Bond to feeling like he does in SF.

I think they missed a trick tying SP in to SF: Silva's aim in SF is to take down M (and does so by damaging MI6), and Blofeld's aim in SP is to effectively take down MI6 and take control of it, so they should have said that SF was stage one of Blofeld's plan to damage and take control of MI6. It kind of feels like it's right there.

Yeah that's fair; I wish they'd finished that story off!

I'd consider Nicole canonically (if we're going down that road) Silva's mistress, before he then hooked up with Severine.

That's a lot of fun, I'll have to look at that again with that in mind.
