    My copy of this arrived a few days back, but I haven’t yet had the time to listen to it.

    So for now it’s just sitting there, taunting me.

    Just got mine this morning leigh ,instantly gave it a listen in its entirety hope you get to hear it soon you won't be disappointed.

    Perhaps I missed something; if so, please forgive me. Is "Do You Fly Here Often?" not included in the actual score presentation?

    It's in the additional music section of disc 2, because they couldn't find it in the same place as most of the other music from the score, so they had to extract it from the music/effects/dialog track and it was then converted from mono to stereo. They placed it outside the "score presentation" because of the difference in audio quality.

    I see. Thank you. I'm saddened it couldn't be tracked down in the proper quality. That track is one of my favorites.

    Yes, thank you. I haven't found the time yet, but I shall. The music is bloody awesome, though. You guys are filling this Bond (music) fan's heart with joy.

    ‘Underwater Mayhem’ is 6 mins of pure aural bliss and ‘Double Derval’ is also a standout on this fabulous release.

    "Do You Fly Here Often?" and "The One That Got Away" could only be located on the mono DME. This is a 3-track tape that has mono tracks devoted to three components that make up the soundtrack, isolated Dialogue, Music, and Effects. When played together, you hear the full mix for the film, with all of the edits and level decisions printed in. Each track is called a stem.

    In this case, the music is mono, edited, potted (volume going up and down to account for dialogue and effects) and generations away from the original recording. It's an excellent guide, but not ideal for a soundtrack release and I use it only as a last resort.

    I discuss it quite a bit in the latest 007 Files podcast.

    Great, thank you; I listened to the pod this morning, really interesting stuff, and I was very interested by the DME you talked about (with the ending controversy of course); I just wasn't sure how stems related to that. It's very cool that DMEs even exist for films this old.

    The music stem being 'potted' is very interesting too. The two stem tracks on the release sound great but, yeah, clearly not quite at the top notch quality of the rest of it.

    Which is why I kept them separate on this and OHMSS.

    This is all wonderful stuff. My gratitude towards you is beyond imagination, Neil. There was a time, in the '90s, when I was worried that decent Bond score releases would forever be locked in my fantasies.

    Yeah it was great hearing the music go in a slightly darker direction to that which we've been used to with the TB score up until now. Also a bit of Ipcress File-ish low brass drifts in, but obviously with a Bond flourish. I do like how you can tell exactly which year it is from listening to Barry's various subtle style changes in the 60s! He had this slightly Colliery Band hint to his stuff in '65 :D

    Is there a guide to which tracks have previously unreleased material? I think the listing on the LLL often has asterisks for that sort of thing, and TB isn't a score I've listened to as much as some of the rest.
    I thought the info about Bond Meets Domino on the podcast was quite fun: the version in the additional music section was in the film -but only for a short period recently and shouldn't have been- and has since been removed! :D

    What's used in OHMSS is the album master for the track "Thunderball" (disc 2, track 19 on the new release, track 7 on the original "Thunderball" album) around 3:37 to 3:52. The fade out is present in the film, too.

    Here are the results of my first-pass attempt at listing all the tracks on the new release that are either "Previously Unreleased" or "Contain Previously Unreleased Material". I haven't seen this information collated elsewhere yet.

    I identified the previously unreleased material just by comparative listening. For this I used my copies of the soundtracks, including a home-made film-sequenced soundtrack I created from the 2003 CD. (I followed some excellently detailed track cutting and sequencing instructions that I found online at the time, provided by a certain Neil S Bulk!)

    I think the following tracks are previously unreleased:

    03 Underwater Mayhem - Start to 00:50 is new
    I believe Disc 1 Track 16 "Bond Below Disco Volante (Extended Version)" was previously released on the 2003 CD - Lukas added the missing end piece, I presume.

    Any corrections welcome. I haven't compared all the "original soundtrack album" tracks on Disc 2, but I am guessing none of them falls into either of the above categories - please correct me if you know otherwise. Many thanks in advance!
