What did Kincaid do all day before Bond came back?

Did he just wander around shooting deer and drinking whisky?

    Doing housekeeping, he's the cinematic stand in for May Maxwell in Ian Fleming's books, he's Bond's housekeeper and the caretaker of the Skyfall manor, but maybe, like Alfred in Batman, he had the skills.

    Given the size of the estate, not much, yet a lot.

    Was he still drawing a paycheque? How did he sustain himself out in the wilderness? It is written that Bond hasn't been "home" in years.
  • It occurred to me when I was watching it the other day. I don't think he lived at Skyfall but must have lived close by.

    Andrew and Monique Bond's will might have given him something, on condition that he took care of Skyfall?

    Kincaid knew a bonnie lady in the area and popped over for a visit.

    Lifetime acquaintances.

    @RichardTheBruce

    I love Two For The Road. Finney and Audrey pair up well together. A quiet, at times very funny, but certainly well-made little film.
