Maybe I have not watched enough of Arsenal though i think they need to draw teams onto them more.
Cunha appears to be starting as number 9 tonight, interesting choice.
Come on United.
Everton dangerous free kick... Garner ex United saved rebound hits post crikey.
Our keepers parry into danger too much.
Everton the better side, United new line up not clicking yet...
I don't like this false 9.
Penalty to United, when United go they cut through Everton very quickly.
Bruno goal.
Amad causing chaos, Mbeumo goes close with free kick at edge of box.
Everton making this game physical which is good.
Man United will be a different beast next season, something has changed.
1 - 1 a fall from Ugarte led to a quick pass and shot.
One thing I have noticed is our midfield does not have passages of none attacking sustained possession.
Dorgu on for Mbeumo at half time will give us better balance and Amad now as a 10.
Cunha as a 9 is a complete waste, he should be deeper as drives the play from midfield as a 10.
Ugarte having a bad game causing us problems.
Cunha shows what he can do from deep, should have been a penalty. Everton bullied our midfield which is a concern.
Bruno dropped back I get why Amorim does this, Bruno offer more control and creativity as an 8 compared to what we have.
Nasty elbow on Heaven that's a 3 match ban in other circumstances WT...
Rasmus coming on, please never play Cunha at 9 again.
2 - 2 not sure what happened there, its been a competitive game Everton really have bullied United.
Amad own goal I think.
Ended 2 - 2 one of the most competitive pre seasons games I have seen in a while, perfect game leading into the season was a bit of a war at times.
Arsenal was a bit one dimensional last season, especially in the period when Saka was injured. and I think it's an acknowledgment of that in the way they operate this transfer window. They really can't afford to be in the same situation again.
Looks like it was a very good game for a preseason match! Arsenal have a game later this week I think, which can tell us more about how the team might look by gameweek 1. I know there are a few injury doubts though, so it might not be the preferred starting eleven playing.
Blues will pay an initial fee of £35.5m plus add-ons for the 19-year-old; Netherlands international becomes club's eighth💥summer signing and takes their spending past £250m
Saka does seem to be the main source of creativity, great player though teams double up on him.
We have one game left next Saturday vs Fiorentina.
Chelsea's transfer window ticking along. I wonder what more they might pull out of the hat!
Yes, very much so. If he's covered by the defenders, and the players around him are unable to utilise the room he might create for them, Arsenal are stuck in the same way they struggled last year.
Will be interesting to see United's lineup in that game. Could go a long way of telling who's likely to start gameweek 1.
Two games left for Arsenal, I think. I just hope they put up a better performance in those two games, because people were not happy with what they delivered against Sp*rs!
Interesting. I saw one tweet suggesting that RB Leipzig might be interested in him, but I don't know if it was a reliable source.
Chelsea might pull the title out of the hat ?😖
Arsenal fumble a sale! Gunners rejected by Portuguese giants after asking for €30m for defender Jakub Kiwior
FC Porto have reportedly decided against signing Jakub Kiwior after being put off by the Arsenal defender's €30 million price tag.
Maybe Liverpool should sign him ?
Crystal Palace yet to receive 'firm offers' for Eberechi Eze and Marc Guehi as Arsenal, Newcastle and Liverpool plot moves for star Eagles duo
I certainly think Chelsea will be up there, that's for sure. If their transfer window goes well, then I expect a very strong Chelsea team this season – and that worries me!
Arsenal are in no rush to sell Kiwior apparently, and they will certainly ask for a decent fee should they even consider it. I think he's attracted interest from other clubs as well, so there might be another bid in the transfer window. Should they sell though, that's another question. If they want to keep their squad depth, then they need to replace him, and that will also depend a lot on other transfer deals as well; there aren't many weeks left of the transfer window, and I'm sure that there are other outgoings that are more important to get done.
On one side though, a Kiwior sale could also go a long way of funding a bid for Eze, so the club will have a lot of decisions to make in the coming weeks.
Premier League chiefs are said to be concerned about the "eye-watering" legal fees being incurred over Manchester City's alleged financial breaches.
Manchester City were charged by the Premier League over 115 alleged breaches of financial rules in February 2023.
The long-running saga is yet to be resolved and there has been criticism of the length of time the process is taking to reach a verdict.
Fears are also growing that the legal costs from cases involving Manchester City and Chelsea are spiraling out of control and already top £200 million ($266m), according to The Times.
Elite lawyers are known to charge thousands of pounds an hour for their services, leading to potentially huge legal bills for the Premier League and their clubs. :-O

=D>
Man United appear to be going all guns blazing all of a sudden in the market.
Last time I checked Arsenal 3 - 1 down, with new players will take time to gel as long as its after the first game of the season lol
From what I've read of coverage and comments from these preseason games, Arsenal are not looking good. Preseason game(s) aside, I am starting to worry a bit for Arsenal going into next season. There are a few injuries as well.
I watched Arsenal a few times last years, they often relied on a strong defense and set pieces though did not have the dynamic play of previous seasons.
Romano says Sesko already agreed personal terms (5 year contract) with Man United its just down to the fee now.
Dowman and Rio have had great pre seasons yet they are not in the FPL squads, yet.
Only a matter of time before they get in 👍
PSG to sign new keeper... could Donnarumma also be on his way to Manchester United? :-?
Edited: Both Sesko and his agent waved part of salary and share of commission respectively in order to make the deal happen according to reports. Sesko could have earned more at Newcastle, that is encouraging as a Man United supporter and the project.
I think Arteta's project has got a bit stale by now. He really needs to find another dimension in his own coaching and the style he wants the team to play, or else he could become a problem.
Šeško is on his way to Manchester already, by the looks of it!
If Šeško and his agent has indeed waved salary and share of commission (much like in the case of Gyökeres, then it does make me believe that Šeško never wanted Arsenal in the first place. From what I've read, neither he or his agent wanted to do anything themselves to make a move to Arsenal more likely to happen…
Yes, they should be in the game well before gameweek 1!
The way Dowman has played in preseason – yet again one of the best players in the last game – Arteta has no choice but to include him in the squad in each game. He has a raw quality that can cause some chaos in and around the opposition box, which few of his teammates has.
Odegaard has been able to stay a bit higher than usual with Rice making a double pivot and it suits him I think. Calafiori also has advanced high to complement Martinelli, who has been alright so far.
Baleba not involved for Brighton because of a knock, I hope we can get a deal done quick as we need a player like him or a similar alternative.
If we start Bruno and Casemiro in midfield against Arsenal we will struggle, I would rather have Ugarte and Mainoo there.
I am reasonably happy with the squad depth and quality, I think Amorim's biggest issue is getting the right team selection.
3-0 in the end, and by reports a good game by Arsenal. they certainly needed this going into the first game of the season. I see several people have pointed out Calafiori's performance and importance on that left hand side, acting as a support to Martinelli (like you mentioned @Reflsin2bourbons). The issue with Calafiori is his injury record since joining Arsenal. They really need him to be fit and available, yet managing him enough to avoid any further injuries.
The left hand side is a major issue though. If Martinelli and Trossard are not at their best, the team is left with very little from that side – which obviously makes me wonder if there's any possibility that they might address this in this transfer window. I doubt it though.
I did wonder if Šeško might play a part today. Possibly a bit early given that he just signed of course. Looking at United's squad right now, we're looking at quite a different team from what we saw at the end of last season. I'd be surprised if United does not sign any more players. So far, their transfer window has been really good.
I think the left side for Arsenal should either be Calafiori-Rice/Merino-Martinelli/Trossard or Lewis-Skelly - Attacking player (Eze hopefully?) - Madueke.
Zubimendi was also fantastic today, I didn't mention him. He scored the "winning" penalty, assisted Gyokeres, and also played a great ball to send Saka in on goal that Saka should have done better with. I always preferred Rice as the lone 6 but I think Zubimendi is quite a bit better technically in that role.
Yes, this is the impression I've got from Madueke so far too. I saw a training video (a highlights comp should be noted), and he looked so at ease on the right hand side in that video. I don't think Arsenal would have paid what they did to get him, only for him to cover one position, so I guess we will see him in multiple positions throughout the season.
Very much agree on the left hand side setup you mention here. I do think Arsenal need that additional player though, to complete the attacking options.
I really hope Arteta will get the best out of Zubimendi. A studio pundit here in Norway who is particularly known for his knowledge of La Liga, was very clear in his opinion of Zubimendi, and went as far as to say at one point that Arsenal would have stood a good chance of winning the league had they signed him last summer. Things look very different now though, with everyone looking much stronger than they did – particularly Liverpool.
Really depends on Brighton's plans should he leave. Do they have a replacement coming in?
