    *Licence To Kill

I made a tier list for fun as a special way to rank the movies:

    https://drive.google.com/file/d/1KFQsRupuBHz0sfZT40BnghGAnzBcCcdG/view?usp=sharing

To explain things a little more:

S-Tier (To me, these are James Bond's absolute greatest adventures, and are all among my favorite films ever made):
    1. Casino Royale
    2. On Her Majesty's Secret Service
    3. Thunderball
    4. From Russia with Love
    5. Skyfall
    6. Dr. No
    7. Goldfinger
    8. GoldenEye
    9. The Spy Who Loved Me

A-Tier (I love these ones nearly as much as the ones in S-Tier, but they are just a tad below that status of "legendary"):
    10. Licence to Kill
    11. Live and Let Die
    12. For Your Eyes Only
    13. Quantum of Solace

B-Tier (This is where the movies start to have a few issues for me, but they are minimal and I still like the films a lot overall):
    14. No Time to Die
    15. The Living Daylights
    16. You Only Live Twice
    17. Tomorrow Never Dies

C-Tier (Still in the territory of leaning more positive than negative, but they are all rough around the edges for various reasons):
    18. A View to a Kill
    19. The Man with the Golden Gun
    20. Octopussy
    21. Moonraker

D-Tier (I do not hate any of these movies, but they have the most significant flaws and start to lean more negative than positive collectively):
    22. Spectre
    23. The World Is Not Enough
    24. Diamonds Are Forever
    25. Die Another Day

On the tier list, I specifically listed the films left to right as my favorite to least favorite. The S-Tier films have all been safe and secure for over a decade now as my favorite Bond outings (though I do keep going back and forth between FRWL and TB as my favorite Connery film). The A-Tier ones are somewhat interchangeable, though I do not foresee any falling down too greatly in my estimation. TND at the end of B-Tier is a little close to C-Tier, but I think it does just enough to stay where it is. MR is dangerously close to D-Tier, but again, there are just enough special elements in it to keep it afloat. And with D-Tier, again, I do not outright dislike the films, but they are markedly less enjoyable for me than the others, and have the most amount of issues that bother me the most. From a mainstream perspective, my love for QOS has to be my most "controversial" opinion, and I know my placement of TB is too high for many.

Interesting @FoxRox. I'm still struggling with mine :))

Is there an imaginary line in your ranking where you'd say your 'liked' Bond films would start or do you like all of them in at least some capacity?
    @GoldenGun

I would say that I at least find some things to enjoy in all of them, but collectively speaking, my Bottom 5 definitely lean negative. MR is in a really weird spot in the sense that it's hard for me to have an overall negative view of it, because I really enjoy most of it for about the first two thirds, but I really, really still don't like the last third much at all, and the camp goes pretty heavy at times for me even before that. #19 onwards I definitively lean more positively on.

I would definitely have to adjust that tier list I made a couple months ago, but it had been over two years since I watched any of them, in my defense. Several spots still feel interchangeable, but I did gain some valuable clarity this marathon like feeling that LTK is solidified in my Top 10 (no disrespect to the still great LALD), GF while I love it is definitely below all the Terrence Young films, and there's definitely a sizeable gap between TLD and YOLT. Now it's something like #1-9 are still the super safe all-time favorites, #10 is ever so slightly lesser but super close, #11 is also slightly less but secure in that spot, #12-16 are in the same neighborhood of enjoyment but I feel good about the order as of now, #17-19 are still good but more flawed, #20 I can't decide if I like or dislike more, and then #21-25 are the ones that have more bad than good for me.

I had twine and yolt bottom tier yet neither improved position in the latest bondathon, they've both increased in my estimate

    4. For Your Eyes Only (10)

    9. GoldenEye (9)
    10. Spectre (9)
    11. Goldfinger (8)
    12. Casino Royale (8)
    13. The World Is Not Enough (8)
    14. Live and Let Die (8)
    15. Octopussy (8)
    16. Dr. No (8)
    17. Diamonds Are Forever (7)
    18. Tomorrow Never Dies (7)
    19. Quantum of Solace (7)
    20. Never Say Never Again (7)
    21. Moonraker (7)

Very interesting, I think only one film ends up below my imaginary bar of "from here on I like most of the film". Though three of them only just manage to end up above it.

In any case, most rewatches were very positive so I can't complain at all, really. It's amazing how one can see these films so many times and still being thrilled by them :)

Hahaha! I've been appreciating DAF quite a bit lately.

It is rather sad. Lately I've been feeling it wasn't so much a reboot, but the beginning of the end. At least the end of Eon. The last time I tried to watch it I couldn't get through the whole film knowing Broccoli's legacy would be closing 4 films later.
Maybe I'll look at it again sometime and rank it higher.

I know what you mean mate! Whenever I watch LTK it's with a twinge of sadness that I know Dalton expected to do a third film, but of course never did!
With CR, it's just sublime entertainment for me, which raised me out of the doldrums after the abysmal Brossa era! I will never forget my first viewing, and the elation I felt, Bond was Back! Big time!

Considering the hate I've gotten for my most recent ranking- here's yet another. :D
It's easier to simply rank the non-Eon Bonds alongside the Eon entries. Therefore, I'm back to tying OP and NSNA.

    1. GOLDFINGER
    2. THUNDERBALL
    3. DR. NO
    4. THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS
    5. LICENCE TO KILL
    6. FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE
    7. THE SPY WHO LOVED ME
    8. OCTOPUSSY/NEVER SAY NEVER AGAIN
    9. DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER
    10. CASINO ROYALE 06/CR 54
    11. LIVE AND LET DIE
    12. ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE
    13. GOLDENEYE
    14. FOR YOUR EYES ONLY
    15. MOONRAKER
    16. A VIEW TO A KILL
    17. TOMORROW NEVER DIES
    18. SKYFALL
    19. THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN
    20. YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE
    21. QUANTUM OF SOLACE
    22. THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH/CR 67
    23. NO TIME TO DIE
    24. SPECTRE

I'm tempted to do a new ranking everyday until the next actor is announced. Sadly, I have too little time.

The only proper Non-EON Bond film I consider is NSNA really, not much for the other two.

In defence of whoever has unconventional preferences, I'd say that's the beauty of Bond fandom, we all have a different ranking and there are always going to be likes and dislikes we may not share with the majority. I'd always prefer an honest ranking, including disagreements, than another RT clone ;)
