"best evidence she wore braces in the theatrical release"

    I-saw-original-print-2019....no-braces-in-it

"Maybe the original version was duplicated"

    Cant-recall-in-1992-either,saw-it-on-TV

    Funny....I-saw-uncut-BigBoss-around-1988-on-vhs,it-had-missing-cuts (2nd bordello&other-cuts) and-possibly-it-had-keyhole-scene,too (customer-spying-at-Bruce&lady-thru-keyhole).....this-was-prolly-swedish-version,perhaps-got-thru-by-mistake

    I-never-knew-impact-BL-would-have-later-in-my-life-then&would-even-meet-Inosanto&IngSik&write-other-actors-from-those-films

    Uncut-BigBoss-would-not-surface-again-until-2023......altho-rumor-has-it-was-shown-Thailand-around-yr2000?

Watched Moonraker with my son for his first Bond film. And when Dolly shows up, he asks “Wait Daddy, does she have braces?”
I was shocked and said no why do you think that? And he said he thought her teeth were shining from the sun. So maybe that plays into peoples memories who are convinced she has braces?

Well, she should have had braces, because it just makes sense that she’d be wearing braces. The scene is shot in such a way that the audience were anticipating that reveal, because that’s the kind of corny punchline we expect in a Moore-Bond movie.

Anyhoo, there's no doubt that this woman was wearing braces...

I just googled the name of Emery Lichtenwalter, the guy who wrote the 1979 article mentioning Dolly's "hardware" for the Mattoon, Illinois Journal Gazette and Times Courier (what a name for a newspaper!). He wrote that in July, and in November he died of unmentioned causes at the age of 60, according to his obit in the same paper as quoted on findagrave.com. He must have known something and was stopped by dark forces from spreading the secret any further! I'm sure we're onto something big here! Maybe Kevin McClory was involved?

Ok, I'm really getting worried now...
(I'd call James Bond, but he's dead at the moment)

    But wait, ther's more...

    The Daily Gleaner says

Blanche Ravalec was born on September 19th, 1954 in France. Her father was an orthodontist and she wore braces as a child. Her mother was an optometrist who made her wear spectacle frames, even though she had perfect eyesight. Her sister was a hair dresser who braided her hair in pigtails every day before school. She grew up with a love for acting and performing, and after finishing high school, she decided to pursue her passion.

In her early twenties, Ravalec became an air stewardess and traveled the world. It was during this time that she began to perfect her English, which would eventually lead to her becoming a successful dubbing artist.

However, it was her role as Dolly, Bond villain Jaws‘ girlfriend in the 1979 James Bond film Moonraker, that brought Blanche Ravalec international recognition.

Despite her success in film, Ravalec found a new passion in dubbing. She lent her voice to many popular English-language television shows and films, including Ugly Betty, Friends, Desperate Housewives, and Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends.

This sounds like a satire, as if that had been her real personality even until she was 24 and became Dolly in MR.

Since when does one have to speak perfect English in order to become a dubbing artist in French?

Oh yes, and is this from The Daily Gleaner (now just The Gleaner) from Kingston, Jamaica, or The Daily Gleaner from Halifax?

Would you believe The Daily Gleaner from Fredericton, New Brunswick and the upper Saint John River Valley?

That's the one...I wrongly remembered it was from Nova Scotia, not New Brunswick.
