Without killing and shooting? I mean, Bond games are already fairly bloodless. To remove any killing, you might as well make some cutesy anime. Over the last few generations, gaming has grown up, it's not just for kids anymore, and Bond was never meant for children.

Seems more a PR thing for that point than necessarily a moral standpoint (although I can very much sympathise with being uneasy about glorifying guns for younger crowds, even if making films about a gun touting agent for 12+ year olds is your job!) I mean, as far as I'm aware no Bond game hasn't had Bond shooting people.

I think the issue with a lot of games like that is that the hero ended up massacring hundreds of people, and that is a bit odd. I remember enjoying the Uncharted games, but I was always struck that, although it played out like an Indy movie, the lead character was a mass murderer, and it did feel a little odd. The problem is games have become more and more realistic with the violence staying at the level it was when they were 8-bit, and there was a big disconnect. So I'm glad Indy himself isn't actually killing everyone now. I don't mind Bond killing a few people here and there, but he shouldn't be wasting dozens or hundreds of people, really.

I was watching GoldenEye recently and the scene where he escapes from being held in the Russian building did strike me a bit, as he machine guns quite a lot of -innocent- soldiers. It's an odd move really. Compare it to the quite similar scene in Casino Royale where he pursues the runner though the embassy, and he's just subduing all the guards who come to shoot him, knocking them down and spraying them with steam etc.
