I'd LOVE to see South Africa in a Bond film. With Pearl Thusi as a Bond girl, perhaps?
Can I interrupt you for a second? I just had this idea, but --and I know it's a crazy thought, I'm just pulling my head here-- but what if when Tom jumps off the bike, he turns to the camera and says "this mission... it just got a hell of a lot more... impossibler." And BOOM! Then you do the crash.
Lets move on to another question:
Would you rather Felix Leiter return OR create a new American ally for Bond?
With Amazon in charge there are some creative thoughts that will need to happen. Aside from the Mi6 crew, another potential decision is the casting of an American ally for Bond to partner with.
Traditional choice would be the return of Felix Leiter. Appearing throughout the series and most recently in Craig's series of films. Felix brings some familiarity with him, In DN he was introduced as someone Bond knew but hadn't worked with. In CR with Craig we saw the friendship progress as they didn't know each other and by the fifth film were fast friends.
Leiter died in NTTD so there is that.
Non-traditional choice would be to create an American ally. The series did this in the Brosnan era with Jack Wade showing up in two adventures. Heck you might even bring this character back for the new guy. Or create a new recurring character to help Bond when action takes him to the USA.
What you rather see in the future of the series?
Thinking Bond is MI6 and Leiter is CIA, so their normal activity is international and outside their home countries. But visiting the US or UK from time to time is welcome.
Oh, come on Bruce!
TBH personally I think it would be too fictional to have an American ally, better skip that until it becomes believable again.
I tend to agree. Less is more with Blofeld. Eon overused him.
Also, once they did YOLT film Blofeld with all those tics, they kind of killed the character. Forever.
I'd rather YOLT Blofeld have been a different character (Osato?) altogether. Or if they'd kept him in the shadows for this film too.
Maybe if they kept Jan Werich but dubbed him with Eric Pohlmann the result would’ve been different. It would’ve kept in line with the Blofeld of FRWL and Thunderball certainly.
This. As much as I love Joe Don Baker, the Jack Wade character only made me wish Felix was present in the Brosnan films instead.
Don't get me wrong, I love Felix but do not clamour to see him in every film or era. In fact, after the Craig era I'm hoping to see Bond 7's tenure Leiter-lite. (Would love to see Felix' artificial hand make it on screen though rather than the usual villain's trait.)
A new ally that pops up in a couple films - and they don't have to be CIA either. We've had a few NSA agents here and there.

To be honest, if they had to have a US ally character (and agreed with above that that feels a bit strange at the moment) I wouldn’t really care if it’s Felix or not. He has no defining characteristics really, apart from his memorable name there’s nothing actually to him. Wright was great but if he’d been playing a character with a different name I don’t think anyone would have exclaimed ’but he’s playing it just like Felix! Why aren’t they calling him that!?’.
He is not a dull character in the books. The films have NEVER done the character justice!
YOLT was the climax of the Connery era. They could have stopped making movies right then and there.
Maybe it's time to do it right.
I don’t find him massively interesting in the books either to be fair. He’s just sort of a nice bloke.
He has his limits, but I do find Bond looking at him in DAF and noting how his injuries have taken a toll on him despite his humour interesting. I like how in the books he has that resilience to him.
