@Creasy47 Basically it only becomes an issue when I get to a quest called 'The Molecular Level' when you're forced into picking a faction. Up to that point I am ok.

I'm sure you already know what you're doing, being distracted aside, but I saw someone post this flow chart the other day and saved it for myself for whenever I get around to the PS5 version of this. It's been a long time since I got the PS4 Plat so I'm bound to have forgotten most of this:

    Thanks for that, very useful.

I also picked up the Tomb Raider Trilogy on PS3 today for £12, looking forward to revisiting Legend and Underworld after F4.

I've been wanting to check those out still too and I see they're now on sale on the PS Store. Might be the perfect time for me to do so.

I have been building up my PS2 collection over the last few weeks, and one of my latest purchases...

I have had my eye on this game for years, but never pulled the trigger, because I heard bad things about it. Took the plunge and... it's actually not bad.

I've been on a "retro" kick lately, getting myself an old school TV, an N64, and TWINE, and I couldn't be happier. Next, I'd love to get a proper PS2 and PS3 again.

If you do go the ps2/ps3 route, get a Kaico HDMI Convertor*. I began with a Scart to HDMI convertor from another company. Made some games 'barely acceptable' to play on a HD TV, while others were unplayable. Since switching to the Kaico, I have noticed a BIG difference. At the end of the day, it is still 20 year old technology, but it does make it more possible to play ps2 games on modern tvs. I have also been playing Gun and Max Payne 2, amongst others, on my ps2.

This is the one i'm using:

All you'll need, is a HDMI cable which isn't included.

@MajorDSmythe, and it does well with reducing input lag? That's the major offender for me. I can forgive the darker brightness settings and the overall graphical inferiority but input lag is a big nonstarter for me. Appreciate the link, might have to look into those.

And man, I had a stupid amount of fun with Gun when it released. I can't count how many times I played it in full.

You sound like me, only with a PS5 instead of 2 & 3.

I'm with you there too. My primary gaming and focus is always on the PS5 but it's nice to jump back to the past every now and then with some older favorites. I do want to get a PS3 because it'd be nice to get some trophies for my profile on there. I don't have any logged on my current account that I've only had since I got the PS4.

I can't say that I have noticed any input lag. You won't need the adapter for the PS3, as it uses a HDMI cable. But definitely get one for the PS2.

    WW2 Soldier (PS2)
Possibly the worst PS2 game i've played. Missions 1-3 are forced stealth, which isn't good, as the game has barely any stealth mechanics. Mission 4 is ridiculously quick, just ride the cable car up to the castle and don't die from gun fire coming from cable cars moving in the opposite direction. Mission 5 was half decent, no more stealth, just run 'n gun through the castle (this mission would have been even better with more objectives). Missions 6 & 7 were basically missions 2 & 3 in reverse, but with no more stealth and the added challenge of protecting the General.
