RIP. Weathers did a magnificent job breathing life into and giving depth to Apollo Creed, and I’m quite sure no one could have done it better.

I was running on the beach on Monday a couple of people were humming 'gonna fly now' as I ran past... Every time I run on the beach I only think of one scene.

Sad news about the death of Ian Lavender, the last surviving main cast member of Dad's Army. That's surely his most iconic scene.

Although he's already been mentioned in the Bond stars who have passed thread, I'll also post it here.
Michael Jayston has sadly passed aged 88.
A well known actor from British tv and films, notably Nicholas and Alexandra, Dr. Who and Tinker Tailor Solider Spy.
I always thought he had a very unique and wonderful voice.
    RIP.

Michael Jayston had an impressive career, I watched a few scenes of A bit of a do earlier, Michael was good in that series also along with David Jason, fun show.

  • Michael Jayston I believe was considered for Bond pre-Moore. I must check out these radio plays.

He starred as Bond in a BBC Radio 4 adaptation of You Only Live Twice in December 1990. You can listen to it here:
