Bullseye was a great game show.
Not only for the legendary Jim Bowen, but also Tony Green.
    RIP

    Oh shit !

    https://www.cbr.com/akira-toriyama-dead/

Akira Toriyama, creator of the DragonBall franchise, as well as Doctor Slump, has passed away aged 68 due to a cerebral hematoma. That was totally unexpected.

I also catch the reruns on a night great show, during my childhood I often watched it on a Sunday and for several years after joined a darts team and got to a few amateur cup finals.

I always wished I had been a contestant on Bullseye though I often thought where can I put the boat.

    R.I.P. Tony Green.

(I really should start playing darts again, I was very good).

I work with Adults with Intellectual Disability, and I purchased a dartboard, and put it up in our hub! Most of the guys had never played it before, and they love it!

When I used to help run a youth club, we often played darts as well as pool and table tennis. Darts is a great game to get people involved in.

Was sad to hear about the death of actor Michael Culver. He had small roles in FRWL and TB. I knew him best from his recurring role as Prior Robert in Cadfael. His father, Roland Culver, also played the Home Secretary in Thunderball.

I immediately think of FIREWALKER with Chuck Norris when I think of Lou Gossett, Jr.

A knock-off of Indiana Jones but not as terrible as many would have you believe. Fun hokum.

Surprised to hear Karl Wallinger of World Party passed on 10 March 2024. A favorite he leaves a mark.

    RIP.

World Party - Ship of Fools (3:52)

We're setting sail to the place on the map
From which no one has ever returned
Drawn by the promise of the joker and the fool
By the light of the crosses that burned
Drawn by the promise of the women and the lace
And the gold and the cotton and pearls
It's the place where they keep all the darkness you need
You sail away from the light of the world on this trip, baby

    You will pay tomorrow
    You're gonna pay tomorrow
    You will pay tomorrow
    Oh, oh, oh
Save me, save me from tomorrow

I don't want to sail with this ship of fools, no, no
Oh, save me, save me from tomorrow
I don't want to sail with this ship of fools

World Party - Is It Too Late? (4:26)

Talk about biting the hand that feeds
Sitting there watching as it bleeds
Try your best in the winter light
When it really should be summer night
Is it too late, baby? Too late now
Too late, baby? Too late now
Too late for you to realize
    Everything could have been alright

Is it been to long? Yeah
    Is it too long now
Is it too long for you to make the change?
Gotta love yourself to make a better day

I hate the way you don't want to move
    What's the matter?
    Money rules the groove now
    What we're doing here today
Won't make the bad life go away
    You gotta grow the beard
    Find the doubt
    And maybe you'll work
    Something out, hey

World Party - Is It Like Today? (4:15)

    Many years ago
He looked out through a glassless window
All that he could see was Babylon
    Beautiful green fields and dreams
And learn to measure the stars
But there was a worry in his heart
    He said

How could it come to this?
    I'm really worried about living
How could it come to this?
Yeah, I really wanna know about this
    Is it like today?

    World Party - She's the One (4:54)

    I was her
    She was me
    We were one
    We were free
And if there's somebody calling me on
    She's the one
If there's somebody calling me on
    She's the one

    We were young
    We were wrong
    We were fun
    All along

And if there's somebody calling me on
    She's the one

    Actress Barbara Rush has died.

    https://www.nytimes.com/2024/04/01/movies/barbara-rush-dead.html
    https://deadline.com/2024/03/barbara-rush-dead-actress-peyton-place-all-my-children-1235872780/

Despite being best known (by me anyway) for her turns in 1950s Sci-Fi classics like WHEN WORLDS COLLIDE (1951), IT CAME FROM OUTER SPACE (1953), and a late season 3 turn as a villainess on TV’s Batman (“Nora Clavicle”), her list of film and TV credits was quite long.

Among her credits: "The Young Philadelphians" with Paul Newman, "Strangers When We Meet" with Kirk Douglas and later TV soaps Peyton Place and All My Children.

    She was 97.

Given my affection for 1950s and 1960s “B” sci-fi, she will always be Ellen Fields to me.
    Rest in Peace.

I was saddened to hear of her passing as well. I remember seeing IT CAME FROM OUTR SPACE in 3D on a double bill with CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON when I was a kid. They were great on the big screen. RIP. :(

To me Barbara Rush will always be the duplicitous Elizabeth Knight in the 2-hour Knight Rider season 2 premiere “Goliath”. You know, the one about the gigantic 18-wheeler semi-truck named Goliath driven by Michael Knight’s evil double Garthe Knight! Barbara Rush played Garthe’s “mother dear”.
