    Tanaka! New Years in Japan would be amazing! And I've always felt a stronger connection with Tiger than Draco

    I imagine Draco to be a sort of passive aggressive gangster, kind of like Vito Corleone; somebody who you’d never want to cross in any circumstances. Whereas Tanaka just comes across as much friendlier, and somebody you could share a couple drinks with and have a good time.

    Now imagine getting both those two in a bar together with Kerim Bay and Colombo; that’d be quite the interaction!

    Now Kerim, Tanaka, Colombo in a bar would be a treat! The Raki, Sake, and Thetoky trio (the three drinks introduced for each ally respectively!)

    NYE with Tiger in Japan for me. The Sake, the food, the plumbing in his bathroom. ;)
    I'm sure time spent with Marc Ange Draco would be fun too, but Japan is too tempting.

    I believe Tiger plays golf too, so I'll have a game with him, followed by a few Asahis at the 19th hole, then back to Tanaka's for sake, sponge bathing, and more diving girls!

    Excellent stuff, you really can't go wrong with either man.

    Happy New Years! With every new year comes firsts! So for this would you rather lets dive into firsts. As in the first Bond film will you be watching in 2024, maybe you have already watched one. LOL!

    Would you rather watch a film from the 62-2002 era OR a film from 2006-2021?

    Is it a classic Bond movie? Share which one is the likely candidate. Lots to choose from with 20 films to choose from and 5 actors.

    Or is it the Craig era? Share which one is the likely candidate. 5 films in 15 years and one actor!

    As much as I like Craig, the balance is just not in his favour here. So much variety across that first 40 years.

    The only modern era films I find endlessly rewatchable are Royale and Skyfall so for me it has to be classic era Bond. Anything Connery or Moore especially.

    Give me original era. The modern era has some great and many personal favorites of mine but my mindset needs to be right in order to fully enjoy them

    Good question, and I'd say it depends on which film I'd ultimately pick as my first of the year. That really depends on the situation and mood I'm in ultimately!

    My go to 'pizza and beer' Bond films when others are with me are CR and TND. The Bond films I tend to watch alone flip between SF, FRWL, OP and TSWLM...

    I really don't know, but statistically it'll likely be a '62-'02 film.

    Reminds me, I haven't watched a Bond film this year...

    Well I watched Moonraker today, so I guess that answers that :)

    Craig films because of the continuity can make rewatches more of a production. For instance, if im going to rewatch QoS, I’ll be more likely to wait until I’m in the moon to watch CR as well and go back to back. Skyfall is probably the most standalone adventure that is worth an easy pop on.

    62-02 for me. I like most Craig films too, but the variety in those first 40 years, as @CraigMooreOHMSS pointed out, is unmatched.

    Watched SF before Xmas and SP between Xmas and New Year, so it's going to be NTTD.

    I suppose, but some like Daniel above all else and therefore would choose from his films.

    Rationalizing I've seen the first 20 MANY more times than the Craig films, so there's that.

    If I choose the Craig films, can I still see BOND 26?

    But it's good I don't have to choose.

    I remember a few years ago someone asked "if one EON Bond film had to disappear from existence, and you'd never be able to watch it again, which one would you choose?".
    It was a hard question to answer back then, it took quite a bit of thought.
    Bloody easy in 2024.

    Finished 23 with OHMSS and will probably start 24 with Goldfinger then everything is up for grabs.

    Good stuff and perhaps a bit unfair given one side had 20 films to choose.

    Lets move on to another scenario and see how we feel about this!

    This is for the fashionistas of our community.

    Bond is known for wearing a tuxedo, and on some rare occasions there have been variations on the basic tux.

    On a few occasions through out the series Bond has worn the traditional black tuxedo. Too many films to list here have featured this look starting with the first film, DN and appearing with regularity through out the series. But he's also worn the white dinner jacket. This look first made it's appearance in GF, then turned up again in DAF, TMWTGG, OP, AVTAK, and SP.

    For this would you rather, I am going to ask YOU to wear a tuxedo,

    Would you rather wear a traditional black tux OR wear a white dinner jacket tuxedo?

    Feel free to tell us why and give us any Bond related thoughts on your tuxedo choice. Fun fact, for my wedding I wore a black tux for the church ceremony and then switched to a white dinner jacket for the evening festivities.

    My preference is the white dinner jacket! I loved the look and felt it was a good choice for the evening. I would gladly wear that again.
