    Someone on here said that CR felt like a new beginning, whereas GE felt like more of the same, (which wasn't a slight on Goldeneye, just an observation). I agree, CR really felt like what a re-invention should be. I think the series hadn't ever had a tonal shift as major as DA to CR before. I suppose VTAK to TLD was the nearest.
    Damn, Casino Royale was such a good movie.
    I didn't like the idea of a 'reboot', Craig is my least favourite actor as Bond, and I'm a traditionalist Bond movie fan that likes formula. But Casino Royale made that all not matter because of the sheer quality of the film.

    These behind the scenes shots are great, it makes me want to watch Casino again.
    I like seeing how hands on Martin Campbell is, it shows his dedication to the film and it's probably why his films ran pretty smoothly

    I agree about Campbell. For the next Bond director, EON should consider having a more hands on director. I know he, and Craig had some difficulties, which why he didn’t direct QOS. He also had the balls to tell Purvis and Wade too write better material, or get fired. I think EON should have more directors like Campbell, not artsy directors, who basically are known for drama.

    I still think Daniel looks best with his hair a bit imperfect, groomed but a bit tousled. Slick and precise doesn’t suit him.

    It's still so surreal to me seeing these shots of the crew all dressed up in luxurious locations, knowing that some random crew member in jeans is chilling right off camera.

    Agreed, that last shot has a guy on the right sitting in a fancy chair who has no business sitting in that chair 😅!
    Also, Mads and the other actors watching Craig and Wright do their scene! Filmmaking such a funny business!

    Also I love that shot of Daniel in the three piece with the machine gun outside Mr White's. There's something about it that's so effortlessly cool and Bondian.

    I remember that shot was on the cover of 'Empire' magazines first coverage of CR! Its a great photo!

    Once again I wonder why those scenes with James and Vesper in the sea together never made it into the final movie. They were among the best parts of the trailer at the time.

    I suppose from an editing perspective, its an easy 10s to loose. Doesnt add anything.

    And so, we leave Daniel Craig's debut in Casino Royale. A wonderful movie I'm sure many would agree.
    Tomorrow, we move onto his second Bond film, Quantum Of Solace.
